A Necrotic Ooze combo deck! IS REALLY FUN TO PLAY. Plays with a fair amount of consistency, and while it's not necessarily a super competitive deck, it's fun as all hell. Loosely based off of the article "You Ooze, you lose" on Daily MTG.

Combo is typically VERY easy to assemble, with a huge variety of mana accelerators at your disposal, not to mention Fauna Shaman, which works not only as a tutor but as a combo outlet. Other star Players include birthing Pod, and Grisly Salvage.

Combos:

Quillspike + Devoted Druid: Allows you to give quillspike infinite Power/Toughness. In the right settings this combo alone should be enough to finish off your opponent.

Necrotic Ooze (Grim Poppet + Devoted Druid in graveyard): Creates a loop which allows for infinite mana, and a board wipe in response for ANYTHING your opponent does.

A combination of things in the graveyard can lead to a bunch of silly interactions I'm to lazy to mention right now.

Throwing a Thornling in the graveyard also helps a LOT. Gives Necrotic Ooze Indestructible, as well as haste, which vastly improves the validity of the combo in tougher match-ups. Often times a turn 3 Thornling with haste is scary enough on its own to dominate a game!

Been play testing quite frequently, and I've found a couple ways to iron out the kinks that've been messing with me in tournaments.

ADDED 3x Lotleth Troll: Hyper Aggressive, allows me to discard combo pieces without fauna shaman, gives necrotic ooze protection in the form of regenerate!

ADDED 2x Liliana of the Veil: Gives the deck an element of control, discard ability is useful, all around great card.

REPLACED 4x Lead the Stampede with 4x Grisly Salvage: Seriously? Salvage is PERFECT for this deck. A good salvage can pretty much set up the ooze combo at turn three or four. IT'S INSANE!

Placed 4th in last modern, I'll give you an update after the next one!
