I'm not sure what you should take out, but maybe a Bitterblossom or a Liliana of the Veil. My only concern with Infernal Tutor is that you would have to remove something else to add it, and it may not be worth what you're taking out.

Thanks APPLE01DOJ! If you have any suggestions for it definitely let me know. I'm only missing 14 cards (yes the most expensive ones haha), but always willing to take considerations. Thanks for looking!

Switching Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek MB and SB slots will improve your Tron match up.
I understand that you can use Beast Within on lands but I think Maelstrom Pulse is a better option overall.

Inquisition of Kozilek is mainboard to help against the life loss with this deck. Dark Confidant, Bitterblossom, Fetchlands, almost none of my creatures being able to block, and at the time Thoughtseize I was putting myself at a 6 turn clock. That is where Basilisk Collar came to be, however it is still not a sure fire way to gain life consistently as there are only 3 cards out of the 60. Inquisition of Kozilek can hit most of the cards that are problematic (including tron. I can hit Expedition Map, Sylvan Scrying, Chromatic Sphere, or Chromatic Star). Thoughtseizes are still there in case I need 'em, but I still have Liliana of the Veil and Smallpox to help make them discard stuff later.
As for Maelstrom Pulse it was in the original 60 when I built the deck, but instant speed, and yes hitting lands to disrupt decks including tron, have seriously helped overall. I am still debating on whether of not to keep it in the sideboard over the 3rd Beast Within, or one of each in the mainboard. It was mainly there against token decks, but my creature destruction and Golgari Charm in the sideboard has somewhat taken the need for Maelstrom Pulse. I'll reconsider for the sideboard though. Thanks for the suggestion APPLE01DOJ

Hey bro, I just discovered a nice tech for your deck! Try to swap your Bubbling Cauldron with Kitchen Finks.
The catch? When it dies the first time, it gets a -1/-1 counter from persist. But if you give it a +1/+1 counter (with Drana or Nissa), both counters erase each other (as a state-based action), substantially allowing the Finks to come back one more time! And imagine the shenanigans with Smallpox and Beast Within ...

That is something that will definitely have to be playtested. The counters are somewhat new and to make them more consistent would probably mean having two Nissa, Voice of Zendikar. Bubbling Cauldron is a little safer as far as being destroyed (although game two they'll probably bring in artifact hate since I play Basilisk Collar), but if I can get the counters consistently Kitchen Finks is definitely worth playtesting. Thanks man!

Don't waste discard on filter rocks. Thoughtseize hits Wurmcoil Engine, Karn Liberated, and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. I understand the excess life loss with creatures who can't block. Maybe you need some Spellskite in the 75.
I feel like I rather play Vampire Nighthawk than Basilisk Collar.
Have you considered Lotleth Troll? Seems like it would fit nicely into this build.

Thoughtseize is an amazing card, and definitely still being playtested as other non-life threatening cards come into the deck, but right now Inquisition of Kozilek works just fine. The main cards you are mentioning APPLE01DOJ work agaist tron and with Liliana of the Veil and Smallpox tron isn't the worst matchup, but still a problem. Still playtesting to see what is the worst matchup. Aggressive decks with a lot of creatures is a problem....

Vampire Nighthawk is somewhat situational, whereas Basilisk Collar can be put on an attacking creature, the equipped onto a blocking creature when needed. Vampire Nighthawk is a great card just maybe not for this particular deck.

hi, coming from dredge player a suggestion would be Darkblast.
i have used Darkblast to protect my creatures from Path to Exile numerous times.
I don't know if it fits your playstyle but adding couple of them means spammable removal if you need it.
Other than that seems a consistent deck, +1.

Also perhaps Nether Traitor instead of Bloodsoaked Champion,
Traitor has haste and shadow and cost 1 less from grave.

Gakros I'm not sure how you found this deck as I have not touched it in a while, but thank you very much for the comlliment. And dredging isn'the exactly what this deck wants. If I dredged my liliana, Basilisk Collar, ect I would have no way to get them back. And interesting idea. Actually I have retired this deck. Unfortunately it is one that looks great on paper, but In games it doesn'the work the way it should. God hands are still there, but I couldn'the find a way to get it to work consistently.

Gakros. Yes thanks man. With this meta the blocking became the main problem, plus card advantage. It just wasn't there.

Gakros - I wanted to tag you in this deck as you helped me bring my focus back to the deck. Can you tell me what you think of the new updates? Anything that you might possibly change or suggest?
December 3, 2016 6:26 a.m.
glad i could help Pheardemons.
I dont like the Altar's Reap for sure. Why try to kill yourself when there are lots of cards like Smallpox that easily 2-1 the opponent.
Try to find similar cards.
I don't have atm any in mind but i am certain there are lot's of card's that say "both players sac a creature".
My Way of going on the sorc's / instants would be removal to wipe enemy board so i can attack directly.
So i would remove,
- Quest for the Gravelord
- Altar's Reap
- Bloodsoaked Champion
And add,
+ creature removal (and sideboard hand control)
+ Some Unearth creatures (example Extractor Demon to try 1 shot maybe...)
You have the best combination to out resource them .Use it !!!
Don't play on their pace, Make Them play yours.
;)

Gakros - I want to give you a detailed reasoning of the cards you suggested to take out. Then please let me know if it influences your mind about changing anything.
Quest for the Gravelord - This card is there to give me the big guy. All of my creatures are fairly weak, and an overpowering board state is not something that will probably happen with this deck. Quest for the Gravelord is there to give me something that will happen for doing what the deck wants to do. It is almost a 5/5 creature for one mana. Every competitive setting can and would utilize that if they could.
Altar's Reap is in playtesting at the moment, but as you can imagine I go hell bent quite often with this deck. It is there to help draw into more cards, and keep the fuel going. Since it is an instant, I can play it at my opponent's end step sacrificng Bloodghast, to draw two cards, then fetch a land with Verdant Catacombs or Marsh Flats to get it back to still be able to attack if necessary. Literately the board state hasn't changed in that instance. Granted that would be a perfect scenario, but even sacrificing Dark Confidant if my life gets too low, Gravecrawler to be recast, or Bloodsoaked Champion to also be recast, I am gaining a hell of a lot more than I am losing.
Bloodsoaked Champion is one that I have been debating one taking out. However, the recursion is definitely something that synergizes with the game. He is one that I can bring back if I have extra mana. He is definitely one that has helped.
Do you not believe I have enough remmoval? Also do you think I don't have enough hand disruption?
Lastly, has these reasonings change your perceptions or thoughts on any of the cards and/or synergies?

Also future reference, if you go to gatherer.wizards.com you can do simple/advanced searches to find all the cards that you're looking for.

I think you're problem may be that you lose to people going over the top of you, wider than you, and under you, all at the same time. The only matchups I can see this be favorable against is abzan/jund since you can out-value them, and maybe aggro if you can chump block and they don't have battle rage so kick through damage. I like the Extractor Demon because A 5/5 haste flyer can help the deck close out games against a clogged board state, something this deck has trouble with otherwise. I wouldn't include more spot removal because it's not what you're deck is trying to do, and I think collar, liliana, and decay work well enough. I would try to include a couple Languish or, if you have the money, a couple Damnation in the deck to deal with aggro and continue with the "symmetrical effects that aren't really symmetrical" style of the deck.
