I used to run my nekusar EDH deck with many draw and fork spells. It was a race against the clock, and I would typically win/lose at the last moment. Nekusar was my primary win-con, and he gets hated fast, so I was always struglling to cast/ recast him. I often struggled with opponents attacking creatures so I inserted as many deathtouch creatures I could find thinking they would chump block and prevent attacks. It worked ok, but I always had multiple forks and multiple wheels in my hand. I felt like i was wasting time / cards. It was fun and I can say I won as much as I lost, but I was often holding dead cards.

My new strategy after a few months of playing was to remove all the forks, and focus on adding cards that create recurring card advantage for me such as Mystic Remora+ Sygg, River Cutthroat, cards that do something else as well as ramp additional draw for all like Master of the Feast, and cards that deal damage for each card drawn.

Alternate ways to win that mimic Nekusar's pain from draw (both balanced + unbalanced pain) like Underworld Dreams, Phyrexian Tyranny,Spiteful Visions, Kederekt Parasite

Maximizing my "Draw 7" effects are my goal. Wheel of Fortune, Memory Jar, Forced Fruition, Reforge the Soul, Time Reversal, Time Spiral, Wheel and Deal

Recurring "draw more" every turn cards: Teferi's Puzzle Box,Spiteful Visions, Kami of the Crescent Moon , Master of the Feast, Jace's Archivist

Small combos I am enjoy include putting Curiosity (card draw)or Basilisk Collar (lifelink), on any of the following Nekusar, The Mind Razeror Psychosis Crawler or Kederekt Parasite or Fate Unraveler. The collar's lifelink effect equipped to nekusar is way better than expected in multiplayer games. think wheel of fortune 7 cards @ 3 opponents = +21 life. I am going to investigate more ways of adding lifelink equipment or enchant creatures.

Super useful new to my Nekusar deck card = Library of Leng. Dont run Nekusar without it!
