Yes it really is just another Nekusar deck! However this one has been built to be just a bit slower than some others out there. It trades just a bit of speed for some resilience. Having played against the white decks built to hose other commanders; I built it with getting my commander Nevermored in mind. There bare subthemes of infect and discard built into the deck with the ability to win on draw without the commander. The bailout combo is Nivmizzet/Curiousity. The deck can defend it's self with a bit of taxation in the form of Defense Grid, Crawlspace, and Painful Quandry. I'm not sure if forcing other players to draw to 7 to cast a spell qualifies as taxation but we'll put Forced Fruition here. It makes Waste Not work well by forcing the competition to discard and damage still gets in with Megrim and Lilianna's Caress. The deck packs a control suite of 4 counterspells that cast for 2 or less, The typical bounce package of Cyclonic Rift and Aetherspouts, and a Damnation to reset the board against tokens, aggro, or the ANNOYING Vorenclex. The main subtheme to this deck; like many other decks of this ilk is discard..haha. As if you didn't notice. And all this is supported by the Dragon Mage, and Jace's Archivist to keep the wheel effects going, and a Sphinx of the Final Word to help land your spells. The deck tries to survive an 8 player pod with a target on it's head. I hope you guys enjoy this list.
