MohenjoDaro, thank you for the comment. Dragon Mage indeed does synergize well with Nekusar, but the CMC is too high. Not only this, but he is also a creature, easier to remove than my high CMC cards like Forced Fruition or Price of Knowledge and he comes in play with summoning sickness (the enchantments are faster and safest).
My two creatures with CMC high (Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Seizan, Perverter of Truth) dosen't have to wait until my next turn to have some utility.

Thanks for the comment, Diakaine! Venser's Journal is a nice card, it gives you infinite hand size and some life sustain in your upkeep.
Howerver, there are some problems with it, Nekusar is a "wheel based" deck, you will be discarding all your hand and drawing only 7 cards sometimes.
I prefer using Exquisite Blood in a multiplayer game, you will recive sooooooo much more life, and it will not be restricted to your upkeep.
The Journal is a good card, I just think it's not the best option here.

Here's my deck. I kinda tried to make it hurt the opponent when they discarded cards as well. For this reason I didn't keep things like Price of Knowledge.

Hi, Myllyes314. I do some (HUGE) damage when the opponents discards cards to. Megrim and Liliana's Caress hit hard the enemy when we cast a "wheel".
Imagine we are with Nekusar, Price of Knowledge and Megrim on the battlefield and them you cast a Wheel of Fortune. Let's also say the oppnent have 5 cards in his/her hand.
Discard 5 cards (10 dmg) > Draw 7 (7 dmg) > pass > Upkeep (7 dmg) > Draw 2 cards (2 dmg).
It's a total of 26 damage, and he/she will take another hard hit (even if we don't cast anything) if they don't kill us or spent some resource to remove Price of Knowledge.
Another nice combination is Price of Knowledge + Forced Fruition.
March 6, 2017 7:42 a.m.
Yeah, that's fair enough. It works in both ways for different reasons. My biggest thing with Price of Knowledge would be that, by letting your opponent keep the multitude of cards that they draw, you let them have more options.
March 7, 2017 2:51 a.m.
Myllyes314, it's a valid concern. The biggest problem is when you are facing a combo deck. You will give them a lot of draw, but no discard. The solutions is: We have 13 wheels.
I still think Price of Knowledge is a great card and deals a lot of damage. Moreover, you'll have 5-6 drawns before casting the card (if you didin't cast it using Show and Tell, if you do not have any wheel in your hand at this point, you are REEEEEEEAAAALLY unlucky.
It's not a expensive card, I recommend you to test it in your list, I do not regret having it in mine. :)

IAmTheWraith, these cards are excelent! I reeeeeally want to put Time Spiral in the deck, just don't know what to change, do you have any tip? I was thinking about taking Skyscribing out.
Timetwister is THE BEST "wheel" to use when playing with Nekusar, but it is too expensive, I can't afford it (the card costs more them my whole deck). :(

You forgot Mind Over Matter to combo off, Curiosity for a ton of draw, Elder Mastery to lock them out, and Helm of the Ghastlord for a bit of both. Other than that pretty cool deck, but could benefit from more ramp.
March 7, 2017 6:46 p.m.
Entrei, I do want to put Mind Over Matter in this deck, it has infinite combos with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Temple Bell, just don't know what to remove (maybe Chasm Skulker?).
Curiosity is really nice for the draw and can combo with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind for some nice infinite damage combo as well, but I don't know where to put it? Thought about removing Jace Beleren, but i'm not sure. You could help me with that. :)
I didin't even know Elder Mastery, but this card is just so evil, it must fit somewhere here, just don't know where.
I tested Helm of the Ghastlord before, but did not like it. Still, it's a good card to have in a Nekusar deck.

Well first off Phyrexian Tyranny could probably go too. It works pretty well until your opponents start generating such absurd amounts of mana that it hurts you more than them.Spiteful Visions has a similar problem, as if they get your life total low that card will often kill you off. Kami of the Crescent Moon is a decent card, but owing to its low power toughness it dies a lot, which kinda reduces its already meh abilities. One could make a similar argument for Dictate of Kruphix, but oh well. Jace Beleren also has the same weakness, his ult is kinda bad unless you are playing mill, and to top it off, walkers are pretty easy to kill off in edh. It also doesn't really combo with anything. Omniscience is in general a great card, but without a consistent way to cheat it out (i.e. Academy Rector) is kinda meh most of the time, especially considering it's massive mana cost. Fevered Visions, as fun as it is in standard, is rather meh in EDH. Chasm Skulker is a situational card that really depends on what your pod is like, and often dies to removal ASAP. Last but not least: Skyscribing is a little inefficient for what it does, and often gets countered and now you are out of mana.
Cheers!

You should consider adding Baral, Chief of Compliance to this. Even without that many counterpsells I think the cost reduction could make him still worth consideration.
March 27, 2017 8:29 p.m.
Thank you for the comments, Delta-117. Baral, Chief of Compliance is a nice card, maybe it is better than Kami of the Crescent Moon.
Archfiend of Ifnir is great! Everytime you play a wheel you will also wipe the opponents board!! Just don't know where to put it in the deck yet.

Hi, davENGR, thanks for the comment.
I really don't like Wheel of Fate. You want to hit the opponent out of the blue and whe you cast a suspend 4 card they will be prepared for it.
Moreover, it sucks late game, when you need a quick and clean wheel to end the game.

I weighed a lot if I should keep Price of Knowledge or not, due to its huge CMC, but it must be in Nekusar. Even if we are taking advantage from opponents discarding. They will be hurt if they discard and hurt if they don't. Very relevant when you make them draw, 4, 5, more than 7 sometimes, each turn; even more relevant in my case where I run cards like Breathstealer's Crypt: they will take immense damage whatever they chose.
Your list looks very similar to mine, which makes me happy since I've been fiddling with it for a few days only and it seems like I came to much of the same conclusions as you did being a more experienced Nekusar player. I am running more forms of removal, much more, but 2 enchantments that I believe work much better than Propaganda in a deck like this: No Mercy and Dissipation Field. Having creatures destroyed for hitting you will force them to leave you for last, getting them back in their hands will make you profit from cards like Price of Knowledge or be able to remove them anyway with any wheel effect. Paying just 2 per creature to attack into one almost creatureless deck won't be that punishing so I don't think Propaganda is at its best in Nekusar.
Also, both Seizan and Phyrexian Tyranny kinda hurt you, do you feel like Seizan is really needed in the deck? Wouldn't something like Thing in the Ice Flip serve you better?
I'll share my list as soon as I post it, I'm still working on the description and will give the deck its first test this weekend.
For now, its a well deserved upvote ;)

I would seriously advise running a few more mana rocks. My personal favorites are Coalition Relic and Talisman of Indulgence/Talisman of Dominance, but relic might be a bit pricey. Seeing as you are playing nekusar, 0 mana mana rocks such as Chrome Mox, Mana Crypt, Mox Opal, Mox Diamond and Lotus Petal allow you to get more value from continuously wheeling, but most of those cards are rather expensive. I also advise taking out Howling Mine, as it is rather slow, and instead run something akin to Hive Mind(and if you would like Mizzix's Mastery, which is hilarious with hive mind)

I've posted my list finally and I've played my first games with the deck today. I get now the Friendship Destroyer bit. I got the deck house-banned today.
By all means, draw

It plays brilliantly well and as my friends said, they just need to exist to be killed by Nekusar. We played a few incredibly fast games, and I did really well. Winning the first game and leaving everyone to die in the second one, when finally the 3 of them were able to kill me throwing everything they had at me since the beggining of the game. Had I lived one more turn and I would have won again. This is definitely a deck to take to my LGS.

GS10, first of all, thank you for the comments! :)
Breathstealer's Crypt is a GREAT card! I want to put it in the deck, just don't know what to remove.
Price of Knowledge can win a game alone. And I have cards like Omniscience, Show and Tell and Planar Bridge, the 7CMC cost is not that bad. Furthermore, if you cast it with Forced Fruition, the game is over.
No Mercy is awesome, i'm definitely trying it!
I like Seizan, Perverter of Truth because 1) it's a 6/5, protects you; 2) even though it hurts you as well, you will be able to outrace the opponents, they will take 2 damage + the damage of the 2 draws, you will take only 2 damage + two card to reestablish you hand.
Phyrexian Tyranny is a two edged sword. But the lockdown potencial is HUGE. Just need to be carefull when you cast a "wheel".
And i'm glad your friends don't like your deck. It means you builded it correctly. :)

Entrei thanks for the tips.
I know i'm low on rocks, but it wasn't a problem yet where I play (there is a store next to my house and every wednesday is Multiplayer EDH day).
Hive Mind MUST be in this list. A "wheel" in a 4 men game will be fantastic!! Thank you!

Have you considered Pact of Negation?
Aside from being a last resort, 0-cmc counterspell, if it's paired with Hive Mind you can kill all non-blue players..for no mana at all

Love-in-Theory, thanks for the comment. Hive Mind + Pact of Negation is a nice interation, I will consider it! :)

Dragon Mage if you get the chance to play it. Deck looks very fun though.
