Maybe I'm just unlucky and my buddy asaxgod just draw the god hand of having a fast kaalia followed by Balefire Dragon lol

if you test 1v1 then you are ready for multiplayer, it all depends. how many aggro decks are there. how many control decks are there, if so what kind of control. Are they working together or apart or against. how fast are the other decks. how many opponents are holding up counter magic.

But if that's the case shouldn't you be killin your opponents before you need the life gain from Vampiric Link ?
August 31, 2014 10:43 p.m.
its one card amongst 99. sometimes you just get completely screwed, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you have all the answers and others you don't. I dont have a deck list to look at.
August 31, 2014 10:43 p.m.
the same goes for Sigil of Sleep . Which is why they would be sideboard cards to control the board against decks that setup a board presence they can counter.

Well my argument is when playing multiplayer there's a LOT more hate being directed our way. So naturally we're goin to have 3x the usual amount of creatures attacking us. Couple that with our high number of pain lands, fetch lands, and shocklands... The creature bounce can alleviate the pressure better than the life link.

Oh, got you. I think both probably need to be somewhere in the 110. Sorry I thought you were asking about maining v.link
August 31, 2014 10:49 p.m.
I would have both if there is that much pressure. It is more a question of what you would take out so that you could add them in.

I'd rather just find a way you outrace them. Lol. I don't want to have cards that are dead in some matches. Now the question if the day... How the hell do we make this thing faster and more resilient?
August 31, 2014 11:04 p.m.
the only thing that I have come up with and have been playing around with is counter magic that can be used extremely early game to disrupt decks that ramp. Sigil of Sleep might be a good answer to a deck that tries to play its commander as early as possible, its dead to decks like Damia, Sage of Stone and Uril, the Miststalker however.
August 31, 2014 11:08 p.m.
i dont know how fast Uril is but if its anything like Maelstrom Wanderer then we are probably screwed. Nekusar, the Mindrazer is on the cusp of top tier, but he quite there yet. infinite combos with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is probably another direction.

Yeah creature decks are a breeze. I don't have a control deck that in my meta, so that's probably why dream halls works better for me. The only combo deck is a sydri deck and I feel like I'm fine disrupting any combo decks (outside of dredge) just by doing what we do. But mainly the dedicated decks in my meta are creature based. However blood moon has been pretty back-breaking so maybe some soft counters? You mentioned Flusterstorm that seems good.
I was thinking, however, that more reach would be nice. I kinda liked Mind's Desire and storm counts get pretty high with MoM on board. Cerebral Vortex seems decent as well...?
August 31, 2014 11:15 p.m.
that's why Tendrils of Agony is in the deck. I don't know about having more than one storm card in the deck. I am of the opinion that all you need is one. Mind's Desire is my second choice. It probably has more potential than tendrils, but its harder to cast.
August 31, 2014 11:18 p.m.
If the deck goes up against another that has nothing but counter magic. We can't find the time to cast nekusar and start wheeling at the same time, perhaps adding a second storm cards becomes reasonable. making Mind's Desire a sideboard card for sure.

Spoils of the Vault naming pikachu with Laboratory Maniac ?
August 31, 2014 11:29 p.m.
we would die first, and Laboratory Maniac is a bad win-con in the deck.

I was thinking you would have to dig a little first. Naturally you can't cast it at a high life total. It did seem kinda weak but worth tossing around the idea. Lol
August 31, 2014 11:35 p.m.
I have tried Laboratory Maniac dropped it, come back to it thinking I hadn't done it justice and realizing it really wasn't worth it. If you are about to draw your deck you can win without it.

I feel like we're almost there... Just missing something. I guess I'll lurk around other Nekusar decks and see if I can find the piece I tech I want so badly. Lol

...I can't believe u guys missed this one...
September 1, 2014 8:41 p.m.
Walking Atlas is almost like an Exploration for non green decks. I know how hard it is to ramp in b/r/u, so this is the only suggestion I could make. +1
September 1, 2014 9:27 p.m.
There isn't enough land in the deck to make Walking Atlas consistent.

Are you playing 1v1 or multiplayer?
