@ kxc999 all of those cards have been in here except the blue commander 2014 enchantment. Since it was such a large list of cards, I don't feel like putting out why each card made it's way out of the deck. Most of them were either too low impact once cast, had a too high of a mana cost, or only have my opponent incremental card advantage, without losing the life necessary to kill someone before the cats they drew mattered. (I'm looking at you Howling Mine)
Thanks for the everything though. Lol

I just want you to know that this is one of the best decks I've ever seen. From playtest, it feels absolutely broken and super fun to pilot.
It includes everything I've ever wanted (High Tide, Mind's Desire), and more.
Thanks for sharing.

xerows as someone who plays against this beast often enough lol I can tell you that you are right about this deck being amazing. He has been building it and tweaking it since nekusar got spoiled. If you have any questions I strongly recommend talking to him because he's tried just about everything you could imagine in this deck to get it as fine tuned as possible. Good luck building your deck. Nekusar is fun

@Zeros thanks. It truly is a blast to play... For me any way lol. I'm still on the fence a little with the high tide tech. But I want it in there because the deck is so mana hungry, I feel like it wants multiple Dark Ritual effects, and high tide is the only one I know of that offers blue mana.

I'm on the fence with it... It IS a five drop, but it's also a better Lim-Dul's Vault... To be honest, I've been scared to test it because you do fix your hand, but you're most likely going to wheel all of it away...
But it could be a critical piece of tech if you're in a situation where your only way to win is storming off...? I guess we would have to try it.
I've honestly been thinking about re-testing Ill-Gotten Gains. I almost feel like it does what you want ad nauseum to do. But for one less mana. It also could function as a third yawg-win considering a counterspell doesn't actually counter your storm spells. Thoughts?

Im at the point with my deck were im trying to find cards to add that get me back in the game when i have nothing. Top deck cards essentially.

Well honestly, either one does that. However I still feel like gains is stronger for being one mana less. How many control decks are in your meta?
January 30, 2015 10:27 p.m.
That offers opponents a lot of oppurtunity, to much me thinks. Plus have you looked at the art on Ad Nauseam? its awesome.

It IS awesome. Lol it reminds me of the sandish guy from hellboy. OK, explain to me why it does something better than gains for the added mana. I want another opinion on it. Lol
January 31, 2015 1:44 a.m.
Ill-Gotten Gains depends on the graveyard while ad nauseum doesn't no graveyard can happen. Not only are you telegraphing exactly what you are ttying to do with ill-gotten gains but opponents can get what they want to stop you or win themselves. nauseam works better with Yawgmoth's Will or Past in Flames because when its cast it gets you cards from your deck rather than the graveyard

Ive also been lookng at Dig Through Time its shown itself to be a broken card.

OK, I stand corrected. Lol I just don't like ad nauseum's cmc. However dig through time also seems like it does the same thing for less mana...?

Seems a little low impact, but the deck is hungry for colored sources and at worst adds to your storm count. But I think everything we play is better, maybe? The slots I'm still toying around with are the 2 Megrim slots and the three Fork spells. Though I've tested the forks before, I played every available fork and didn't like them. But then I noticed that you are playing only the double red ones, which play well with the red rituals, so I'm giving them another go.

I'm just having fun with what I put in at the moment and seeing what happens _

Does anything in your list seem to under perform?

what are best and worst case wins for this deck? it seems that all of it's draw power is slow and clunky and it would ramp really fast into an empty hand.

What do you say about Alhammarret's Archive shouldn't be too bad i guess.Problem: You'll draw very fast through your deck with all that: discard your hand, draw 7 and similar.
Also, why no Pyromancer Ascension? Seems like a good card in here.If you mostly play multiplayer, you also could play Syphon Mind. The 4 Mana make it a bit clunky, but what are your thoughts on it?

I made a pretty close version of this deck before ever finding this and am really enjoying some of your ideas. I cant afford certain cards like Seal and Mana Crypt....so I might be a turn or two slower, but my main difference is I wasn't running the copy effects like Fork, ect.
Just out of curiosity, what do you run the copies for, and what do you prioritize with all of the tutors?
February 27, 2016 3:45 a.m.
Out of curiosity, how do you achieve high storm counts? Is it literally just the high volume of mana rocks, so you have enough mana to wheel a lot and then throw down a ToA?
July 15, 2016 12:01 p.m.
Thank you for showing me the power of notion thief and wheel effects. that is the stupidest thing i have ever seen.

hi there, so i have three cards that would work well with your storm idea.1. Eye of the Storm 2. Boseiju, Who Shelters All 3. Hive Mind
So card number 1. Eye of the Storm being as when any player casts a instants of sorcery that player exiles the card and then casts it and all other cards exile with Eye of the Storm with out paying there mana costs and you get to decide on which spell resolves first. you can stack a big amount of spells before having the storm go off.
so card number 2. Boseiju, Who Shelters All Being as you have said pesky counters this land will let you pay the couple of life and make any spell you can uncounterable. nuff said lol.
so card number 3. Hive Mind is also booster for the deck but have the possibility to come back and bite you in the ass. being as everyone casts everything and there resolving first it could potential kill you. but it lead to lots of spells and if you surivive you could kill everyone else depending on the life you have
to be honset if you managed to get both hive mind and eye of the storm to go off i would just scoop being as the stack would be completly fed haha not to mention it would be that all s everyone is dying haha anyways let me know if you like the ideas or not.

When I was considering the medallions I thought about what they did in my opening hand and what they did when I drew them and what I though compared to other cards. In their case they work as well as other rocks to get nekusar out turn three which is about as good as other two mana stones. Late game they are better than other stones because I always end up chaining spells together, it's how my deck wins. They aren't as awesome as Helm of Awakening or the signets but they have pulled their weight as average draws. It depends i think on mana costs of cards and how quickly you can get to grixis mana.
