On a sidenote, you could play Phyrexian Metamorph to copy a Knight Exemplar if one is already on the battlefield. That allows you to get the Exemplar indestructible as well much easier then waiting for your second Exemplar.

In addition, the Metamorph can always copy something annoing on your opponents board and ignores abilities like Hexproof, since he does not "target".

It is also modern-legal

Copying Knight Exemplar is cute at best. I'd rather just have another Lord instead of a clone that needs one already in play to copy. It's pretty mediocre copying any other Knight, and copying an opponent's creature doesn't have any Tribal synergies.

A clunky clone isn't what this deck needs.

I'm not impressed by any of them:

I'm a knight guy as well and have been searching for the best build for the tribe since I started playing the duel deck knights vs dragons. Played with many different color schemes and made quite a few different deck lists using the multitude of our "Unfit for Duty" knights and for the most part, I agree with you but you're not even running Knight of the Holy Nimbus and he's nearly perfect for our current meta. Definitely the most annoying knight to present most of our opponents with. I do plan to play test your list but at first glance I gotta admit that it looks trash. I've already main-played a very, very similar version and it was the most exciting version to play but honestly didn't get us very far. Especially while you're using tapped lands like new benalia and painful lands like shefet dunes. I would rather try to thin my deck via fetch lands since you know.. MATH.. & SCIENCE.. proving that it's far from mythical. Adn play with Knight of the Holy Nimbus bro. He's an all star creature for mono white in general.

This deck isn't designed to combat any specific meta. It's a Pet Deck for fun. I do put in the effort to make it the best it can be, but I don't consider it suitable for high level play.

2cmc Knights in general are exceedingly lackluster. I've spent some time considering every option available, and the two I'm using I feel are the best of what little there is.

I don't believe Knight of the Holy Nimbus is any good. It doesn't have any synergy or other utility. Being annoying isn't enough.

New Benalia and Shefet Dunes give this deck additional value instead of wasting slots on Basics.

  • New Benalia provides card selection, and there are opportunities to play it without significant tempo loss.
  • Shefet Dunes is late-game reach.

Deckthinning is statistically negligible. The benefits from it won't manifest within the length of an average game. And this is an aggro deck, so I don't want games lasting long to begin with. Fetchlands won't be a part of this deck unless there are lands worth fetching.

@PurePwnage

Aether Vial doesn't function properly in this deck:

  • My creature count is far too low. Look at any 5c Humans or Bant Spirits deck list and you'll see them running 30+ creatures.
  • All of my Knights are vanilla attackers. Decks like 5c Humans and Bant Spirits have a collection of ETB triggers and other disruptive effects they can abuse with Aether Vial at instant-speed.
  • Aether Vial does nothing for the noncreature haymakers this deck benefits from.

Aether Vial doesn't instantly make your deck better. Your deck has to work around using Aether Vial. Otherwise, you have a clunky artifact not doing anything.
