Yes, I made this deck because I am certain that the robot is a reference to one of my favorite shows from ye olden days. And I'm a hardcore mech-head.

I like Shorikai as a commander, even when it isn't a creature (besides, it isn't too scary as a creature without keywords, it is simply the biggest dumbest 8/8iest of robots, but we can fix that), its a great artifact for generating value, and it is kind of like a planeswalker that can't be attacked, which is neat.

It is a fairly straightforward deck to deliver damage to the face while doing combo-y things in the background. Use the Meekstone (soft touch) to foil opponents while your big beating vehicles untap as normal, and your tiny pilots act as power 3 for crewing purposes, and your vehicles don't care about the Wrath effects either if they aren't creatures when they go off. Let Shinji, Asuka and Rei jump in the robots and stomp to victory, or bury the opponent under a sea of Angel's from Divine Visitation, or just draw the whole deck to remove threats or play finishers.

Launch the Gundam and form Voltron.
