This is my friends deck that i'm trying to help improve the effectiveness of 1/1's in his deck.
Pretty much all of the cards combo around Doubling Season amazingly and Cathars' Crusade as well. below are cards that combo with the two.
Assemble the Legion: Not only do the counters on assemble double themself but so does the tokens. This means instead of the regular 1 1/1 on the first turn this card summons 4 4/4's! It only gets worse from there (8 more enter next turn).
Increasing Devotion: This sorcery is one of the fastest ways to get out bodies and can potentially put up to 20 20/20's if it's flashback is paid with both enchantments on the board. (Not the easiest but still funny to watch if it ever did.)
Nomads' Assembly: This card isn't my favorite because you need a good number of tokens already on the board for it to be worth casting, but can be amazing in a lot of different situations.
Mycoloth: This one is my favorite. Imagine for a second that you cast this card w/ both enchantments on the board and decide to sacrifice 3 tokens for his devour. Just 3. He enters the battlefield w/ 13 +1/+1 counters on him making this a nasty 17/17 for 5 mana already. If your opponent can't remove him by your next upkeep, you recieve 24 24/24's and Mycoloth bumbs up to a 41/41. Fair trade I would say.
The idea with the
Amulet of Vigor
and the bounce lands is to play them in an order to recieve more mana each turn then you would be granted otherwise. This allows the deck to be a bit faster than it would be otherwise and the walls keep the deck thinned of lands and a little early defense.
I'm fairly new to magic so I don't completely understand mechanics, the meta, what to watch out for and so on but my friend and I do like to play competitively so any recomendations on how to improve this deck or general help on deck building is welcome. Thanks!
