Time Distortion is cool. It's kinda like time capsule, the only thing about it is that people would want to abbreviate it and it's abbrieviation would probs be TD, which is the same as touchdown, and that could get confusing. Still a good idea so I'll put it in the suggested names. And again thanks for being the first to making a deck :)

This seems very reminiscent of block constructed and a format MaRo mentioned at one point called 'build your own standard' (like this but the blocks don't have to be consecutive).

I thought you wanted to draw cards? (Retired). This is technically a shelf deck.

lol banlist is "affinity."
I do like that this format works from a flavor standpoint in that you bind yourself to the resources of a single plane but your still a planeswalker battling other planeswalkers. In fact, thematically, this is much more solid than other eternal formats.
For example: Why would planeswalker bound to the resources of New Phyrexia have any connection with Krosa (Might of Old Krosa + any infect creature = total flavor fail)

How I do support this?

Also, I agree with the other posters this format probably needs a better name.

In my opinion a format name should consist of 1 word, doesn't sound super cheesy, and doesn't imply casual game play.

Notice that other successful formats tend to fall within these name guidelines pretty closely.

electromancer So do you like shelf or no? Also do you like other names or do you have a suggestion?

Love the format idea. It's just that "shelf" sounds really reminiscent of "kitchen table" when in fact it has potential to be more competitive than pauper. Can't think of any alternatives at moment but maybe something similar that conveys reclaiming old decks. I don't know, maybe "shelf" is fine, that was just my first impression.

Congratulations on attaining #1 status on 10-08-15. This idea deserves it.

So has anybody started playtesting this format yet? I see several decks have been made for it. If there was a convenient way to playtest it, I'd be willing to make a deck and play some games, record some data and share it with the "team."

I like to use a little program called LackeyCCG. It's free, has every card updated to it pretty quickly, and has a very thorough search feature. What do other people use?

People generally use Untap.in for play testing. bananamaniaman, I could run an online tournament when enough peeps are interested.

The name could be 'Shelved,' sounds a bit better to me. The format seems really cool and I'd love to see it in action, since it'd let block standard develop after it's rotated out, and let people use cards that aren't playable in modern.

Thanks for your feedback and support guys! Gattison and TheFoilAjani, it would be awesome if we could have a tournament :D although we may need to wait a little bit to give some time for people to build decks.
