LoA makes the mirror or the Match against Pearl Trident harder as it buffs ALL not just your own.

It seems like being on the play is a problem... Lots of times a player can't get a good swing in because the other player went first and only because of that. What if we make a rule that "Whenever a creature comes into play, that creature can't block until your next turn"? That might fix some things.

@bamf, True, I just noticed that. Most of the time that's not relevant but this time I suppose it is. My bad.

Has anyone given thought to the awesome, secret tech of Hymn to Tourach? It seems pretty good to me.
November 26, 2014 3:24 p.m.
Agreed, however, "10 turns" can be amended to 20 or even 30 turns. I'm sure that would be enough.

GlistenerAgent lol. I will see your Hymn to Tourach and raise you a Sinkhole. :D

Steel Overseer is pretty good. Slow but may be better than Lord of Atlantis decks.

Slower almost always means worse in this format. Speed is an incredible advantage

@itisme282 I'll be on there to test soon. I'm still tweaking my decks.
@hjifghl
The entire website is programmed, paid for and maintained by ONE guy. So yeah, it has some flaws. Hundreds of people (or more) use it every day without funding, so it tends to bug sometimes. Especially when the servers are close to capacity.
I would consider using cockatrice, but I don't know where to find it. I heard they were hiding out from wizards do to some legal claim XD... Is it in the deep web or something similarly ridiculous?

Death's Shadow. For the first few turns just build up swamps, then as soon as you drop below 13 life, dump all those you built up in your hand.
Ethersworn Canonist could be interesting, making it a potentially viable slow build.

Death's Shadow will win you 1 game, and then people will realize to wait until they can one shot you, but still a game win and a preview to their next deck is still good, but not unstopable

@Necrotize
I thought about listing Death's Shadow, but to my knowledge the deck you are playing with is revealed right before the game.
Tangent:
There is not a lot of specification provided on that part, actually. The way I assume it works is this:
All three decks are revealed. (As the OP states)
First match: Each player chooses a deck secretly, then reveals the deck they've chosen rock-paper-scissors style right when the match starts.
So, assuming it works this way, players would know you are playing Death's Shadow at the beginning. If they are playing creatures, they'll just play more and more dudes and then kill you in one swing.
If they're playing mill you're screwed regardless of how the game plays out.
Burn might be plausible, but again, I would think they'd take some level of caution (Get you to 13-14 and horde their burn spells. Wait you out, boom five Lighting Bolts at once).
Now, if we assume that the deck isn't revealed right as the game starts, they would figure you out pretty easily. They'll already know that one of your decks is Death's Shadow, and when you drop a swamp and pass every turn it will be pretty obvious which of your decks it is.
As good as Death's Shadow is, I just don't think it's viable without the element of surprise; at least in THIS format.

all 3 decks are revealed at the very start. Then you pick in secret and start.

I think Hellspark Elemental is more stable since it costs two and has unearth. Remember that you probably won't have creatures on the field using this method when your opponent attacks, so it's best to have as many on the field as possible, and Hellspark gets closer to tha with unearth.

Groundbreaker sorry for the accidental link to somebody's deck :)

Fortune Thief because it has morph.
Furnace Scamp might be feasible. Not great though.
Ashcloud Phoenix because 4/1 flying that never dies is hard to deal with.
Broodhatch Nantuko is probably the best of these.
Eidolon of Countless Battles could come in handy.
Disruptive Pitmage can be useful when they stack up.

Ah, Torture is tied. I misread that part; I thought Death was the tie breaker. Wow, that would mean that it's 4 life for every casting unless you vote for Death yourself. That does indeed seem pretty nasty. If this is the way it's played, then:
Tyrant's Choice > Boros Charm
Boros Charm seems pretty bad in this format because only one of it's abilities are relevant, and it ALSO requires 2 colors...
Master of the Pearl Trident = Lord of Atlantis... They are literally EXACTLY the same. Same casting cost, same ability, same power and toughness, same creature types... Hence this:
