Burning-Tree Emissary should be banned, or at the very least put on the shitlist. Testing on Untap, I went 7-1 with it, my only loss coming to Champion of the Parish, which is just as OP.

Some of these I kind of wonder about. Realistically anything 4 cost and up is a no go, cheaper cost cards are already beating you.
Personally I think the format should expand past using a single card to 2-3 cards. This is to help allow higher cost cards like some of the ones suggested. Maybe base it around a functional card like removal and a creature.

Not to mention there is no single card combo. You could easily allow this to become have 2 cards in a deck, obviously allowing strong synergistic 2 card combos as well.

thought of one that could beat spectral procession: Containment Priest

Thank you for finding Grindstone. I have added it to the banned list.
I have also banned the aforementioned Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Lava Spike, and Rift Bolt. While not unbeatable, I feel it might be too degenerate. Eidolon of the Great Revel is about where I'm comfortable with a burn deck's power level. If anyone disagrees with me and feels that the 1-mana 3-damage burn strategies is healthy in the metagame, please let me know and we can hold a vote for it.
zyphermage The moment you allow more than one card in this kind of format, you'll get decks that are basically two-card instant-win combos. Quillspike + Devoted Druid etc. There are many of them, and that would be basically the entire format. Also, it would just feel too different in my opinion. I hope I'm not alone in this conclusion. Let's hear thoughts.
Thank you Frayace for your contributions as a playtester. I'm going to add your name to the description.

Can someone explain me, why Elixir of Immortality and Grindstone are banned?
December 2, 2014 3:33 p.m.
With Grindstone you can use it once and win the game pretty much, maybe twice if you get a land and a spell. With Elixir of Immortality you will be constantly gaining life, and putting your grave into your library, and eventually milling your opponent, I think.
December 2, 2014 3:37 p.m.
You can win with one grindstone activation, only if opponent is playing Painter's Servant or landless colored deck. That seems so narrow, that it can't be banworthy.
If you're really lucky with elixir of immortality deck you can gain constantly 5 life each turn by drawing every turn elixir of immortality. Any deck, that can deal more than 5 damage each turn wins it. Even 6 Memnites is enough and any creature deck gains more damage constantly and they win before turn 50, even before turn 40 easily, since there is no blockers. Elixir of Immortality only has chance against mill decks and wins burn decks. It doesn't seem even nearly banworthy either.

Signal Pest is awesome. I also think we should hold some tournaments on www.untap.com

I banned Grindstone before I remembered that lands disrupt it. Of course, I initially wasn't thinking and imagined as though it milled the opponent's deck all in one swoop. Very few decks aren't playing lands, and yeah, I unbanned that. My bad.
I also unbanned Elixir of Immortality. Most decks are creature decks, and can eventually start attacking for a lot more damage than the elixirs can gain life. Yes, elixir always defeats mill decks. But mill decks aren't dominating the field or anything. Like I said, most decks use creatures to win, and creatures will eventually overpower the elixir. I originally banned elixir out of peer pressure from some other playtesters who mentioned it and said something along the lines of, "Oh that's super degenerate..." I should have given it more consideration. Sorry about that.
Also, Colgate, Memnite is banned.
I think there's a world where Legion Loyalist beats an opposing deck with 2/1 creatures for 1 mana like Soldier of the Pantheon, but otherwise, regardless of having haste and the nice battalion ability, a 1/1 that doesn't grow or gain life is going to be hard-pressed to compete with more aggressive strategies like lords for example.

Signal Pest VS Baleful Strix is an interesting matchup. Strix usually wins, but Signal Pest definitely demonstrated its potential.

Whoa, this looks fun. I had several stages of thoughts...
First thoughts: Ripple and Allies. Ripple is banned, but Allies are fair game. Kazandu Blademaster is obviously the best, although Hada Freeblade challenges that (personally, I'd say the Blademaster). Akoum Battlesinger could be an alternative. Umara Raptor has evasion, but is probably unplayable as a three drop.
Second thoughts: Control. Counterspells would be an interesting strategy, but unless you were on the play you would lose from decking out. Psychic Strike and to a lesser extent Broken Ambitions have a mill effect. Unfortunately, counters can lose easily if an opponent gets a creature on the board or casts multiple low mana spells. Grimoire Thief is an alternative, but fragile.
Third thoughts: Metagaming. I came across Prohibit while looking for counters, and realized it would be great... against the right deck. Conditional counters like Psychic Barrier could work... but if you're on the draw, then your opponent doesn't have to pay anything. However, Narcomoeba could work against a mill-heavy meta.
Fourth thoughts: Tribal. Lords are likely pretty strong, along with creature type based effects. A quick search turned up Chief of the Edge, Goblin Piledriver, Ragemonger, Joraga Warcaller, and the possibly too good Lord of Atlantis/Master of the Pearl Trident.
Fifth thoughts: Lands. Since all your cards have the same CMC, once you hit that number every other land is kind of a waste. Sure, you can cast two in a turn, but would you rather have drawn those two lands or two more copies of your card? 60x Manlands could be interesting: evasive manlands like Creeping Tar Pit, Faerie Conclave, or Treetop Village. Stirring Wildwood also provides a good defense. Other manlands could be better since they come in untapped: namely, Mishra's Factory, Mutavault, Blinkmoth Nexus, and Inkmoth Nexus.
Sixth thoughts: More lands. Well, kind of. The Zendikon cycle, especially Wind Zendikon or Corrupted Zendikon, make them creatures and can be reused. The Genju cycle requires mana, but Genju of the Fields and Genju of the Spires along with the others could be effective. Awakener Druid looks interesting, and Soilshaper does as well to a lesser extent.
I will gladly participate in untap.in playtesting, as again, this looks like a super fun format!
Also, the Quash cycle (technically you don't name a card...) and Flame Burst should probably be banned. How has Sound the Call done?

Ooh! Another thought...
Cards with multiple ways to cast them can be very useful: split cards, modal cards, etc. A short list of interesting cards: Turn//Burn, Fire/Ice, Skinshifter, Rith's Charm, and Vision Charm.
Fun cards: Energy Bolt, Raving Dead, Fiery Gambit.

Spiritual Visit could work, maybe. You can play it's splice cost so you won't fuel after the first one.

loozar33,
Karn's Touch doesn't do anything, since you can't run an artifact as well.
you can't win with Bile Blight or most charms.
Selesnya Charm could work, but all multicolored cards have problems since you can only use basic lands.
Rage Extractor is probably too slow against most decks.
Sanity Grinding and Korlash, Heir to Blackblade seem fun though.
