Colgate says... #2

also Hada Freeblade is strictly better than Champion of the Parish

November 24, 2014 6:34 p.m.

bamfbanki says... #3

How is Hada Freeblade better?

November 24, 2014 6:43 p.m.

Colgate says... #4

It's toughness is one more.

November 24, 2014 6:47 p.m.

bamfbanki says... #5

no it isn't....

November 24, 2014 7:06 p.m.

Marley says... #6

if you were using other alleys it would probably be better >__<

November 24, 2014 7:07 p.m.

Colgate says... #7

Why it isn't? It's alone 1/2, while Champion is just 1/1, when you play another Freeblade, first one becomes 2/3 and, when you play another Champion first one becomes 2/2, when you play a. Freeblade, original becomes a/a+1, when you play a. Champion, original becomes a/a.

I have been using Stone Idol Trap and Joraga Warcaller on untap and really enjoyed it. We play the format some there and i personally love it.

What about an 18 island and 42 Blighted Agent deck, shouldn't an infect unblockable be banned in this?

T1: island

T2: island, agent

T3: island, another agent, 1 poison counter

T4: island, 2 agents, 4 poison counters

T5: island, 2 more agents, 8 poison counters

T6: swing for lethal

This is a very consistent T6 win

I think turn 4 should be the ban marker for this format. Goblin Guide kills on turn 3-4, Kindle kills on turn 4, etc.

Angel's Grace with a mulligan down means you cannot lose and your opponent mills out first.

November 24, 2014 9:13 p.m.

itisme282 says... #15

or try Boros Elite it can kill in 3 turns if it is lucky enough.

I've found that Genju of the Fields will eventually outrace Lightning Bolt, as it's too big to kill with 1 bolt, gains stupendous life, and hits my opponent. It's also nigh impossible to get rid of

I like the idea of Genju of the Fields. Nice idea.

I think Grey Merchant of Asphodel could be interesting

November 24, 2014 10:59 p.m.

Marley says... #19

the merchant is WAY too slow. no lifegain till turn 5, and then its only 2. still this format is full of surprises

Nightsky Mimic wins around T5. Seems good but fair.

To give you an idea; this format is all about cards that grant you advantage for their cost.

Lord of Atlantis and Mayor of Avabruck  Flip both buff the board;

Soul Warden gives you buttloads of life;

Eidolon of the Great Revel punishes your opponent;

Shriekmaw and Banisher Priest give you control and win cons.

Hedron crabs just rewards you for something you already want to do

Spectral Procession is either impossible to or forces your opponent into bad blocks. Same with Baleful Strix

Anyone up for testing?

November 25, 2014 12:23 a.m.

grindstoner says... #23

Vexing Devil, Underworld Coinsmith.

What about split cards? They could be dangerous as they are too versatile for the format.

November 25, 2014 1:05 a.m.

bamfbanki says... #24

Vexing Devil is banned.

Underworld Coinsmith is just a worse Suture Priest

November 25, 2014 1:15 a.m.

Marley says... #25

Vexing Devil is already banned we will test Underworld Coinsmith as for split cards, playing without creatures is a big risk in this format, it helps to offset potential versatility advantage.
