How do you feel about Temur Battle Rage? I personally think this is the best instant for high power, quick-kill decks. The first strike part will handle medium sized creatures for you, the trample handles chumps, and who doesn't like doubling a 4+ power attack to a player?
Related question, how significant is Lightning Strike to your game? With 4 Crater's Claws, I would have imagined player burn would be pretty much taken care of. As for creature burn, I think Battle Rage may give you more impact for the same mana. Just a thought.

Thinking about dropping 1 Sylvan Caryatid or 1 Elvish Mystic for 1 Ashcloud Phoenix. Any thoughts?

I think you should keep your ramp. Also, if your FNM doesn't run Wild Slash or Arc Lightning as someone's burn, swap the caryatids for Rattleclaw Mystic. I'd like some advice on my The Smash, The Bash, The Monster Mash. +1 for a good deck.

Ya I ran 4x Rattleclaw Mystic and had issues with my meta taking them out which prompted my switch to Sylvan Caryatid. I'll take a look at your deck.

I personally like the idea, the ramp is great but you don't have a huge high end curve. It's really just the tempo of it, and I think you can get by with a tiny tiny bit less.
Speaking of high end mana curve: Have you considered Destructor Dragons? Could be a huge slap in the face to burn/murder/control when mixed with the Thunderbreak Regent.

I'm going to playtest some against with one less Sylvan Caryatid and a single Ashcloud Phoenix. I'll have to look into Destructor Dragon more but I don't see how helpful it would be...

If you want high end of the curve, Dragonlord Atarka >>>>>>>>>>>> Destructor Dragon. And this is more of a tempo deck than ramp into huge monsters deck.

Ya I think that the highest dragon I will go into is Stormbreath Dragon since it has the protection from white (handy in Abzan matchups). I really think this deck is nearing "completion".

What would you suggest swapping them for? A single Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker and the single Ashcloud Phoenix?

Ok. I'll give that a shot for Dragonlord Atarka but I'll have to get my hands on a Sarkhan Unbroken before I try him out.

Love the deck. I might replace Sylvan Caryatid with Birds of Paradise. Or is hexproof more valuable?

Thanks, glad you like the deck! I originally ran Rattleclaw Mystic and even occasionally morphed it (although that was rare), but switched to Sylvan Caryatid after having my mana dorks burned; leaving me out to dry a few times. I like Birds of Paradise, but it's not standard legal, right?

Birds of Paradise is not standard legal. And no, the hexproof is not worth the extra mana, unless you're running something like Worship (also not standard legal).

Ok, I was just making sure. So pumpkinwavy, you would prefer Rattleclaw Mystic over Sylvan Caryatid? I guess it might be better since I could make even my "worst" draw work. (I'm picturing a draw of Forest - Elvish Mystic to a turn 2 Rattleclaw Mystic + land. Turn 3 Surrak, the Hunt Caller with his Formidable ENABLED vs. that not happening with Sylvan Caryatid since its a 0/3).

I would say Sylvan Caryatid over Rattleclaw Mystic. also Stormbreath Dragon over Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker. And maybe Den Protector could be interesting to try, even if it's not the best fit. Deck seems very solid as it us right now.

Oh and that hypothetical scenario doesn't need Rattleclaw Mystic cause it can just play any other 2 or 3 drop like Heir of the Wilds or Savage Knuckleblade.

+1 to your deck.
Got a question, have you think about Ranger's Guile ?? It's a good move if you want to play against decks that kills your rattleclaw's fast. why im saying this?? Cause i love rattleclaw, more than the Caryatids.
Tell me what you think

Interesting, I may have to try out Den Protector and see how it fits. As for the hypothetical, I usually set 2 lands as my "lowest I'll keep" so I was going with that scenario and also not drawing a land the first 2 turns. I see what you're saying about it being any two drop if I can hit my land drops on T1-T3 and that's a good point to support keeping Sylvan Caryatid I think. I could start turn one mystic, then if turn 2 knuckleblade can't happen I can at least go the other route and drop Heir of the Wilds to bring on Surrak, the Hunt Caller formidable T3. I'm definitely going to stick with Sylvan Caryatid for a while and see how it fares. Thanks for the input everyone currently on the Top page for the first time!!

Has anyone given Void Snare a shot? It might fit the tempo theme as a 2x in place of a Lightning Strike or 2. Wish it was an instant though...

I really, really think you should use Sarkhan Unbroken rather than Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker. Have him -2 on entry for the dragon, then enjoy sweet, sweet card and mana advantage for the rest of the game. You could ultimate him for a metric ****ton of Dragons. Its amazing how good this card is.

I'll be honest, before upvoting and posting this comment, I didn't read the deck description or contents at all. The title was just enough for me.
