Are you looking for an Eldrazi deck that doesn't cost a bajillion dollars, has strong gameplay, but is unlike any other Eldrazi deck?
THIS IS GRIXIS DRONE SWARM. PREPARE TO BE OVERWHELMED.
--SYNOPSIS--
Drone Swarm uses creatures. Lots and lots of creatures. You play drones, play other drones that buff, and win in a few short turns.
Several cards allow you to survive the early game due to their high toughness.
Late/mid game, you will have too many drones for them to handle. You will be an unstoppable powerhouse.
--THE CREATURE SPELLS--
One Drops
Salvage Drone. This is a fun card, the ingest is helpful if you're able to trigger it, but it's the draw ability that counts.
Sludge Crawler
. Most of the time, his pump effect won't be active. But don't be alarmed! He's great for early game trades, and he benefits off of the really strong cards in here.
Two Drops
Tide Drifter. This guy is a great blocker for the early game, and a toughness booster. He's a great card in the sense that he can nullify quite a lot of damage, and can boost your weaker Eldrazi.
Mist Intruder
. A fun card to have in here. The poke and ingest is super annoying and hard to deal with.
Forerunner of Slaughter
. Haste for 1? Yes please! Also a 3/2? Hell yeah.
Three Drops
Ruination Guide
. It seems weird to have a card like this is blue of all colors. But, the +1/+0 is very strong to have, even in late game.
Dominator Drone
. Ingest, life loss, and a fairly strong card. He is most welcome here.
Vile Aggregate
. This is by far my favorite Eldrazi drone. He has a presence early game due to his way too high toughness, and he's just an all around really strong card.
--THE NONCREATURE SPELLS-
Processor Assault
. I love this card. In my opinion (for a deck like this), it's much better than Roast because it can hit dudes with flying that get in the way of your
Mist Intruder
s.
And last but not least, the game winning card: Swarm Surge. I absolutely love this card. The first strike is just too much, and they won't stand a chance against your onslaught of drones.
--THE SIDEBOARD--
The sideboard is relatively straightforward, just some cards with biases like
Encase in Ice
, some extra burn like
Outnumber
, and some filler spells (aka Transgress the Mind ).
--THE LAND BASE--
The land base is straightforward, but if you want to go non budget, run stuff like Sunken Hollow, Bloodstained Mire, etc.
