Okay, I have a flurry of cards I'm thinking I should mention, but I'm hesitant to make cut suggestions. You have this set up to be a stax build that wants to force and then dominate a long game, but are you wanting to actually attack people at that point or just get damage in while they have no defenses?

I ask because for the latter part some cards like Avenger of Zendikar and Utvara Hellkite do not work for that style as much when you could just as soon be reanimating cards to further hurt the opponent or else set up your combos instead.

One card I feel is fine to suggest here is instead of Rampant Growth I would recommend Sylvan Scrying, as while it may not put the land in play it will get you the much needed utility lands like Kher Keep or the non-basics that tap for any color. Expedition Map would accomplish the same thing.

A similarly minor adjustment could be made in dropping the guildgate lands for the "healing" lands that gain you life as they enter (tapped as well but at least with an upside).

But anyway, before I try to make any big suggestions I also wanted to know if you were specifically staying away from reanimation effects, maybe even recursion for non-creatures, or just hadn't put any in.

Hi TheRedGoat,

Thanks very much for your feedback! My initial thought was to stax the hell out of my opponents (using tokens whenever possible), then attack with my actual creatures (+ any tokens I have left). However, if you have ideas on the other strategy (getting damage in, without attacking), I'm all ears.

As for Sylvan Scrying and Expedition Map; yeah I can see those working. I'll see if I can make room. I'm not sure why the guildgate lands are in there at all, they shouldn't be haha. I'll make some adjustments on that front too.

I was looking for reanimation and recursion effects for non-creatures; if you have any suggestions please share.

Well, for non-creature recursion there's mostly singleton effects like that of Treasured Find, or Nyx Weaver and Deadbridge Chant if you don't mind heavy self milling. The other thing is that there are a lot of useful enchantments that you could abuse that recur themselves.

Spreading Algae would be a weaker one to use, but you've also got access to Aspect of Mongoose and Fallen Ideal.

Otherwise, I can only say that you could run more creatures that are themselves multiple creature types like Wurmcoil Engine or Eidolon of Blossoms.

There is another thing that I would feel is missing from your deck and that is land stax effects and hand disruption. It would be a difficult thing to work with in regards to keeping the deck moderately fun to play against, but the deck itself would be much stronger if you had ways to stall your opponents lands/hands along with any other permanents you're already destroying. Just a few good ones can really slow down the opponents game. I mean, you're in Jund, so why not use Destructive Flow? Wait a week or two and you'll have Crucible of Worlds on a stick to play around with. Or just run Groundskeeper.

Thanks again for your comments :)

I'm not sure this deck would survive self-milling that well; I think my Meren deck is better suited for that. Meren is actually in this deck too, but not as a commander.

Fallen Ideal and Wurmcoil Engine are really well suited to my playstyle; definitely going to see what I can replace them with. Not sure about Eidolon of Blossoms, it's ok and my deck has quite a few enchantments to make it worth it but, ... I dunno. Will think on this.

As for the land destruction, my playgroup frowns in this a lot; which is why almost none of my decks has the means to destroy them. Believe me, I've been tempted ... I actually have Crucible of Worlds :):)

That's a fair point about land hate and milling. I've got my own Tymaret, the Murder King deck that also would suffer from self mill even with all my graveyard recursion in it, and I've also had to really struggle before with decks that target my land base. It does teach you to be able to prepare for the worst, but it is also the type of thing you'd rather not have to prepare for.

As for the Eidolon, I put it up to just be a quiet reminder that and enchantress route is oddly enough totally viable with your commander, or at least that the enchantment creatures/enchantment creature creating cards are also out there if you choose to use them.

I feel Utvara Hellkite is probably your safest choice in cutting space for Wurmcoil, but for Fallen Ideal I feel like you may want to reevaluate whether you need the redundancy of Dictate of Erebos or From Beyond. If nothing else I can see the eldrazi pooper being replaced by say Bitterblossom, or some other faster token producer. Or a reanimation effect like Nim Deathmantle or Victimize.

Ow how I wish Bitterblossom was a card I could afford now, it would definitely be in there. I know It That Betrays has an incredibly high CMC, but our playgroup's games last long anyway and the synergy with most other stuff in this deck is so good I'm reluctant to cut it at this time.

Dictate of Erebos might go, but I'm probably leaving From Beyond in here. When it comes to producing tokens, I want to have plenty of redundancy.

And Nim Deathmantle is a fantastic suggestion; I'll think that one over too.

Thanks for your support The7thBobba!

You're very welcome :) btw, love the deck's name! It reminds me very much of my naming strategy, in general, for savage race-characters, but also of a campaign I participated in some years ago: the party consisted of a troll, a goblin, and an orc, who, respectively, were named: Gork, Gonk, and Grokk :)

no Solemn Simulacrum? not sure what i would replace it with, but it adds ramp, draw, and a creature that is good to sac off.

naterino, you're absolutely right; Simulacrum would be great in here. Now that I'm thinking about it, it might actually be better than Catacomb Sifter. I'll make the adjustments; thanks for your suggestion. Hope it's worth a +1 now, haha :)

A part of me wanted this to be a reference to the ning nang song. +1 all the same, I've wanted to build around these guys for a while.
