I originally set out to make a mono-colored black vampire/zombie deck. But after drafting a few ideas I decided that I had to add the Grimgrin, Corpse-Born and Diregraf Captain. Now I think that I have offset the usual weakness of zombie decks with the flying of vampires. Please +1 and comment and tell me what you think.
--------Creatures--------------------------------------------------
Highborn Ghoul
~ a decent two drop with intimidate.
Diregraf Captain~ deathtoucher that buffs other zombiesand when your other zombies dies an opponent loses one life.
Gravecrawler~ a reanimatible 2/1 that works great with just about everything in this deck.
Grimgrin, Corpse-Born~ one of the heavy hitters in this deck. This guy can win games on his own as long as you have supply of swamps and a Gravecrawler or two.
Blood Artist~ has great synergy with Grim-grin or Bone Splinters.
Bloodline Keeper
~ one of the win cons of the deck, the tokens with flying it produces keep the deck from getting trashed by flying decks.
---------Spells-----------------------------------------------------
Bone Splinters~ all purpose removal and the sac goes great with Blood Artist.
Victim of Night~ spot removal works well against most decks in my play group.
Call to the Kindred~ helps dig for vampires to activate the Keepers ability.
Endless Ranks of the Dead
~ another possible win con, it allows the gathering of many tokens that can over whelm opponents in a horde.
Appetite for Brains
~ good against control decks that run AEtherling and aggro decks like Gruul.
Altar's Reap~ your extra draw power that also allows for sac.
Ghoulcaller's Chant~ your extra recursion for everything.
Zombie Apocalypse
~ absolutely destroys human decks but is mainly for late game mass reanimation of zombies.
