This is deck I created just recently by rebuilding my "old" Vampire deck (Zendikar etc.) but I do realize it will need changes after 5th October 2012...

Just keep in mind this is supposed to be a pure Vampire deck. I like building "theme" decks so I want avoid mixing non-theme creature cards in it.

Idea is simple. Wait what opponent do and respond to his actions by either killing his creatures and then building your own attack or by droping Vampires and start attacking while clearing the way for them. Since Vampires can go into fight in 3rd round at best you can't do much anyway in first 2 rounds then watching or accelerate your card draw with Sign in Blood

My thoughts for changes: May be Markov Patricians are unnecessarily slow and can be replaced by weaker Child of Night but I like them more for higher damage (and lifelink) when Vampire Nocturnus drops in 4th turn. BUT... Child of Night can be in play when Stromkirk Captain comes into the battlefield in 3rd turn giving him attack/lifelink boost. I am also considering adding Vampiric Fury for surprise attack or Gravepurge for later turns when my Vampires get their butts kicked too much. May be Gravepurge into Sideboard? It's only pitty there's not more of deathtouch Vampires like Vampire Nighthawk. Its combination with Lightning Prowess is quite deadly.
