I've been playing this deck, my first for Commander, for almost two years. During this time it's been under constant evolution. Only a few cards from the original build remain. Even the commander has changed at one point - my original choice was Lord of Tresserhorn.

My goal was to build a powerful, but fair, Commander deck for my local meta. We have a gentleman's agreement on not using global land destruction or combo as a win condition. Hence, the deck's focus is on board and stack control, with Thraximundar himself as the primary win condition. Backup win conditions include Insurrection and Vicious Shadows.

This deck can be transformed into Zurprise Control by swapping out some 30 cards.

Any suggestions are appreciated, as long as they abide by the aforementioned restrictions.
