Hey, for your first Commander deck well done and nice deck description. You picked an interesting General as your first one to make a deck because not being able to cast noncreature spells can be a real burden in multiplayer Commander. In a Commander deck ideally you want to have a nice mix of noncreature spells and you can't really do that with Nikya.
I see Temur Sabertooth and it's bounce activated ability is great with Nikya's ramp. Sabertooth lets you play some noncreature spells because you can use the mana generated by Nikya to bounce Nikya with Sabertooth and then use the rest of the mana to cast a noncreature spell. This trick is very good with Primal Surge since there's all permanents here, creatures, meaning you dump all the creatures and lands from your library onto the battlefield on your turn. Genesis Wave is another powerful spell with the Sabertooth Nikya trick and it too depending on how much mana you have can dump all your permanents onto the battlefield.
Enchantments, artifacts and Planeswalkers are also permanent cards which have interaction with Surge and Wave. Fires of Yavimaya , Hammer of Purphoros gives all your creatures haste which can be a win condition when you dump it and all your creatures onto the battlefield.
With big creatures and ramp Fierce Empath is a good creature tutor especially with Sabertooth since it can bounce Empath for you to cast again. Genesis Hydra is another creature to take advantage of ramp as well as Sabertooth and it can put a nonland noncreature permanent you reveal onto the battlefield which is a way to get around Nikya's restriction since you're not casting that permanent.
As you play more Commander and make more decks you will find that good lands and manabases are consistently the most expensive cards of a deck. There are however some good budget lands in Commander. Command Tower is the staple land for multicolored decks in Commander. Cinder Glade , Rootbound Crag , Game Trail , Sheltered Thicket and Temple of Abandon are all good Gruul lands.
I offer more advice. Good luck with your deck.

Your average CMC is high and your mana count is low. I know your commander doubles mana production from lands, but she also costs 5 mana. I usually run 45-50 mana cards (lands, rocks, dorks, and land ramp) in a deck, this includes 32-36 lands and 11-18 sources of ramp. You have plenty of lands, but your ramp is a bit lacking.
With how high your average CMC is, I would definitely go with 50 mana cards. This means that you would need 7 more ramp cards. Beanstalk Giant is pretty much a free include, and I'm not even sure I would count it toward ramp. As DrukenReaps said Cultivate and Kodama's Reach are definitely worth including, even if your commander hates on non-creatures. Other non-creature includes would be Sol Ring , Nature's Lore , Farseek , and Skyshroud Claim (the last 3 get exponentially better with non-basics with basic types like shocks and tango lands). The last ramp could be Birds of Paradise and you may even find yourself wanting even more ramp. In this case Elvish Mystic and Llanowar Elves would be decent includes.
I realize some of the cards I named (looking at you birds) are over $3, but it is something to build towards. I'm not sure that I would put 10 draw sources in all of my decks (many people would say the same about how much mana I run) but I do feel like this deck could only benefit from drawing more.

Pathbreaker Ibex is a great card for your deck. Basically any creature that functions the same as a sorcery is what a creature deck needs.

Cool build, welcome to Commander!
You have several sub-par cards that could use an upgrade. Here are some suggestions to include:
Given your theme, Heartwood Storyteller and Nullhide Ferox have no drawback.
To help put creatures into play, Elvish Piper and Norwood Priestess vome to mind.
For removal, I believe Bane of Progress is worth considering here.
Hope you like some of these suggestions.
Cheers!

I thank you all for your suggestions. Even the ones above my budget [since I'm from Brazil, cards like Bane of Progress can reach prices above R$20], because they help opening my eyes to possibilities and where to take this deck to if I like it and want to push it further.
I couldn't fit everything in there, but I did try to mix things a bit adding a couple more lands, two spells to fetch those ( Sylvan Scrying and Farseek ), another low cost mana generator Whisperer of the Wilds (who can add 2 at once as well), another Scout Silhana Wayfinder and Genesis Hydra to help finding more of the big guns.
I tried to keep most aditions up to 2 CMC since I believe they're most useful at the start of the game - which is where I'd need more speed to build things up.
If you have any further comments, please feel free to contribute. I'd be happy to hear them =]

I am a strong believer in theme, and I approve your 100% creature build.
However I see you are tempted to go the way of adding a few ramp spells, so I tought you may want to consider Skyshroud Claim . In my opinion however, the two cards you definitely need to look at if you are going to move away from creatures are Lurking Predators (already suggested in this thread) and Rhythm of the Wild .
Suggestion for your mana base: If you don't have budget for the big fetch, you can still add Fabled Passage , Bant Panorama , Jund Panorama or Naya Panorama . Then you can play them from the graveyard using Ramunap Excavator and the upcoming Dryad of Ilysian Grove. You could also use a Budoka Gardener .
DrukenReaps made some awesome creature suggestions in this thread that I agree with and you have not added, I recommand taking a second look.

If you're adding Farseek the advantages of it's ramp is it can search for a dual land that has two different land types.
Consider adding budget Cinder Glade and Sheltered Thicket ? These are Gruul dual lands that Farseek can search for since they're two different land types (Forest and Mountain). Both of them are a Mountain card so Farseek can search for one of them. Currently Farseek can only search for a basic Mountain and not a Forest because Farseek can't search for a Forest.
Wood Elves is like Farseek, but a creature who can search for Glade or Thicket because they're Forest cards. Like Farseek, Wood puts the land onto the battlefield.

Fun deck description, looks like a blast to pilot!
Kessig Wolf Run recently got a reprint, so I think it'd fall into your budget! It's another way to get your damage in, not only in pumping your own creatures but also leaving up mana to pump up someone else's. Another feather in your cap for when you want to start ending the game.
You already have Genesis, so I would also maybe look at fitting a Spore Frog in there somewhere! I've been saved many a time by this card, and once you get Genesis online, you can have a soft lock on combat damage, with you being able to recur the frog. Can be frustrating for combat based decks to deal with!
Eternal Witness is another card that I wish was JUST a bit cheaper, it'd fit into your deck. Pairs really well with Kogla, the Titan Ape (Which you should for sure give a try to!). At a few bucks less expensive, the relatively new Timeless Witness could be a budget option, with it only costing 1 more mana but gaining eternalize. Both would allow you to continue to fetch bombs from the graveyard once the game gets long.
Battle Mammoth helps in dealing with decks that have a lot of targeted removal, and is a decent beater for cheap if foretold. The recently rotating out Thorn Mammoth is another card that I've seen put in work once it resolves! Just a few ideas I had after reading the deck!
(Just checked, Eternal witness also got a reprint, so it'd slide in in just under 3 dollars!)

Thank you for the inputs! I'll see what I can do to get these in the deck. Especially the combos you mentioned!

I like to run no less then 10 draw effects. Yours are nice because a lot of them can be repeated but I'd still get that number up a bit. Consider finding a spot for Keeper of Fables , Soul of the Harvest , Vizier of the Menagerie , Garruk's Packleader , Ohran Frostfang , Lurking Predators , and Etali, Primal Storm . Those are listed in no particular order just get the ones you can. Etali is likely the strongest of them.
As you play you'll find times when Nikya isn't in play. I know she really doens't like non-creatures but over time a few say no more than 10 wouldn't be a bad idea. Especially ones like Cultivate and Kodama's Reach . Those can easily be cast before your commander and grab lands which your commander really likes.
Any adventure cards would be worth thinking about.
