Feedback: what do you have to say to Elspeth, Sun's Champion right after you ult nissa?

I suggest possibly a Soul of New Phyrexia in there as a way to deal with that or something like Supreme Verdict

I agree with weisemanjohn on Soul of New Phyrexia . I know that it costs one more mana to plat but you may want to put in Voyaging Satyr instead of Elvish Mystic because then you can untap Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and start really ramping up that mana. another idea would be Karametra's Acolyte since it is a creature version of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

I forgot to also mention that you may want to use Heroes' Bane since you can activate his ability multiple times in one turn. he get out of hand incredible fast. i love it

Soul of New Phyrexia is definitely something I'd want at least in the sideboard. I'm not sure the deck needs any more ramp, though. Voyaging Satyr comes in later than Elvish Mystic , and I'd really rather that possible first-turn play.

As for Heroes' Bane , he just doesn't seem necessary. He can get out of hand, yeah, but I'd rather play any of the hydras I already have. Worth considering though.

i just got through playtesting this deck. The shear power!!!!! Turn four I had a 7/7 hydra! This deck is great. if left unchecked it can end a game in five turns. Elvish Mystic is fine where it is.

My brother runs a mono-green version of this deck and I highly recommend Heroes' Bane . He was able to get it up to over 4000/4000 in a couple of turns. Also I would reccomend taking a look at Hydra Broodmaster the monstrosity ability is lethal with a huge mana pool. Hope this helps.

Breeding Pool over Island so that Nissa can untap them also. Other than that awesome deck. +1

If you're running Life's Legacy have you looked into Phytotitan ? It comes back during your upkeep tapped, but Prophet of Kruphix makes him a pretty valuable blocker.

I'd love to see this deck post rotation when Hardened Scales is legal and can add all sorts of counters to your monstrous hydras. Can't wait. :D

I'd never considered Phytotitan , but he works pretty well with Life's Legacy and Prophet of Kruphix . Nifty suggestion, I'll have to playtest it!

I would suggest less Hydra Broodmaster and more Polukranos, World Eater for his boardwipe capability, also something I found in my build that works well is AEtherspouts maybe replace Polymorphist's Jest

You're probably right about Polukranos, World Eater . As for AEtherspouts , I keep going back and forth if I prefer that or Polymorphist's Jest . Atherspouts is a more assured boardwipe, but Polymorphist's Jest, especially paired with Nylea, God of the Hunt , works well too.

You could always run both :P

I dropped Chord of Calling from my build as I found that Genesis Hydra is just infinitely better in the build. Flash a Hydra for say 6, pull a a big hydra, trample god, or a planeswalker. Its amazing how often I hit a Nissa, Worldwaker or Kiora, the Crashing Wave off a 5-7 Genesis Hydra

I personally love Chord of Calling . It's great for, say, grabbing Nylea, God of the Hunt to trample through after blockers are declared. I was actually considering running more. The instant speed and ability to pull exactly what you want makes it worth it.

I hear what you are saying, and its a valid point for sure. But in these builds, thanks to Prophet of Kruphix everything is instant speed :P

when nylea is in you library she is a creature the only time she is not a creature is if she i on the field and there is not enough devotion so you can chord of calling her
