The first Planeswalker I ever opened was Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and my friends gave me hard time because she seemed quite lame. She later went on to haunt them with my various token decks and the rest, as they say, is history.

With the updated Planeswalker rules I thought it would be fun to spam out a bunch of Nissas so here is my Nissa Tribal build.

Nissas' Show

Nissa Revane is interesting. She is probably the worst Nissa, but has been valuable in some matchups. Making a 2/3 each turn isn't terrible, especially one that has to be exiled to be gone for good. Finding Nissa's Chosen also has the benefit of thinning your deck a bit. Her other +1 has also been able to keep me in games. If I have even 2-3 elves out, gaining 4-6 life can keep me from dying to burn or other aggro decks. While not always relevant her ultimate can be pretty solid as well.

Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is what you want out of a planeswalker. She protects herself with her +1, her -2 can make some big attackers and she has an ultimate that can go a long way towards winning the game (probably one of the best Nissa ults imo).

Nissa, Worldwaker is probably the Nissa that opponents most want to get off the battlefield. making a 4/4 with trample every turn that sticks around is no joke. It is also pretty insane with Sylvan Advocate. Her minus is pretty good in some situations if you want to have an explosive turn and her ultimate can win the game assuming you have basics left in the deck to go and grab.

Nissa, Vital Force is a solid walker. Her +1 protects her quite well and can also help you go aggro if it makes sense. Her -3 can be really valuable of returning another Nissa from the graveyard that was previously killed. She also has a really strong and easy to achieve ultimate (which is normally her primary purpose).

Nissa, Steward of Elements is one of the more underrated Nissas. She can get a lot of loyalty quite quickly with her +2. Her 0 ability is great if you don't have a need go for her ultimate and just want to put creatures/lands on the battlefield. Due to her X casting cost you can just ult her out of nowhere and win the game sometimes so that is pretty solid as well.

Nissa, Vastwood Seer   is probably the best Nissa (once flipped) imo. Her +1 is pure card advantage. Making the 4/4 is fine but not a mode I use very often and her ultimate is pretty good at closing out a game.

Creatures Show

Nissa's Chosen is not the most exciting of creatures. It is semi-difficult to kill forever so that is something I guess, but it was kind of a requirement for playing Nissa Revane so..

Sylvan Advocate plays really well with Nissa. Many Nissa ultimates make creature lands and Advocate makes them bigger. It is also a pretty large threat in the late game for only 2 mana, so it is a solid creature.

Sakura-Tribe Elder is great for ramping and chump blocking. This deck cares about getting the Nissas out early as well as getting lands on the battlefield so it seemed like a good choice for the deck.

Elvish Mystic/Llanowar Elves are mostly to help cast Nissa a turn earlier and are elves which is somewhat relevant in this deck.

Tireless Tracker is great for grinding out value and works well with all the extra lands hitting the battlefield.

Spells Show

Harmonize is to help refill the hand in the mid-late game

Primal Command is a good really versatile card. It has helped in a number of matchups.

Search for Tomorrow is the ideal turn 1 play and works well with all of the land synergies in the deck.

Lands Show

Field of Ruin is great in Modern right now. It punishes tron and greedy mana bases that don't always have basics to search out.

Treetop Village is a great creature land. a 3/3 trampler for 2 mana is a good rate and it's even better with Advocate out and active. It has won it's fair share of games through sweeper heavy decks.

Scavenger Grounds is some maindeck graveyard hate that doesn't tax the manabase too badly.

Lumbering Falls is another good creatureland that helps close out a game and that is difficult to interact with outside of killing it in combat.

Sideboard Show

sideboard is a work in progress, but is trying to be as versatile as possible for the MTGO meta. I am always tweaking and updating it so I'll hold off on the description for now. I also am open to card suggestions that I am possibly missing.

I hope you like the deck and feel free to +1 if you do! This certinly isn't the most competitive deck in the world, but is fun and surprises a lot of people. It is amazing how much value the Nissas generate when they stack up and sit on the battlefield, so if this deck can survive to the mid-late game it is hard to beat.

I am definitely open to card suggestions in order to improve the deck. Cards I have been kind of medium on are the mana dorks. I much prefer lands as ramp rather than creatures, but I am not sure what to replace them with. Primal Command has been solid and I am considering adding an additional copy. I am also playing around with the number of each version of Nissa, but I think I am close to what I want.
