I've been looking to get one. It's on the list for the next round of edits.

have you thought about Burgeoning?

October 8, 2016 1:56 p.m.

I have, but it's pretty useless if not in opening hand, and I'm not a huge fan of one time use things.

Hey, deck is sweet I am a big fan of the mono green commanders, i use Nissa, Vastwood Seer  Flip as an alternate commander for my list. Omnath, Locus of Forests

have a look at my ramp suite, i think its a little better, not a fan of cards like Nissa's Expedition or Wave of Vitriol to name a few but overall the list looks pretty slick. Well Done!

I like it! I've seen elves go crazy too easily, so I tend to try to avoid them, and I've got a huge round of edits I'm about to make which will super optimize the deck. Upgrading my land ramp, replacing some cards with strict upgrades, throwing in mean (but obvious) additions. I just might edit it on here before I actually get the cards too. And the wave of vitriol is an answer to indestructible/hexproof artifact/enchantment based decks and also his nonbasic lands (urborg+cabal coffers is a big one where I play) but also isn't just land removal.

I love it! I love mono-green commander decks. A suggestion I'd make is to have alternatives to the Eldrazi and maybe Vorinclex in your sideboard. I guess it depends on your play group but I was running the titans (or Vorinclex) in mine and it ended up with me getting hated out before I could do anything because people knew I was running them. There are a lot of fun things you can run instead like Regal Behemoth, Vigor, Primalcrux and Khalni Hydra. Actually those 5 would be my suggestions for a sideboard. Usually just telling people you aren't running them will result in a more friendly game.

Please note this is only a suggestion when you're in a situation of people hating you out. While I think Vigor is worth it in any deck running green, running the titans is unquestionably the right choice.

Finally, I didn't even know Early Harvest was a thing. What a beautiful card, I can't believe it's less than a dollar.

Have you considered Regal Force or Seasons Past?

I'm actually looking for a Regal Behemoth for mainboard right now, and I definitely agree that sideboards for some for the meaner cards will make for friendlier games, I just don't have the right replacements right now. I want a Seasons Past and definitely a [vigor] (I just thought about Vigor+Silklash Spider+Akroma's Memorial), but Regal force (and other similar cards) aren't "may draw" or "draw up to", so I can easily deck myself with them.

And don't get me started on Early Harvest. That card is INSANE! especially when people think I can only pump 3 mana into Omnath, Locus of Mana

That combo with Vigor is just mean. You're a mean person. I think we could be friends. Anyway good point about Regal Force.

:D

Also, I have some updates to make real quick. like Momentous Fall. It's not a "may" but I cant accidentally hit it with Genesis Wave to kill myself, and it draws me so many cards, I get to combo off.

Sorry. It's already in it must be Mana Reflection

Hey man. Your right that there is some cards that would improve my deck (Vorinclex Voice of Eldrazi).

I guess the only suggestion I can make is Elvish Piper and Quicksilver Amulet to help out cheat creatures, but I image you would have thought of them at some point. xD

I'll give you a +1. :)

Yeah, they were both considered (or in the deck XD) at one point or another, but I rarely find myself without the surplus of mana needed to just play them, which opens slots for other things. (like bigger dudes!!:D)

Awesome looking deck! +1

If you are going to have a lot of land ramp, put it to good use in some hydras! Like Primordial Hydra, Protean Hydra, or Genesis Hydra. Also consider Worldspine Wurm to make Ulamog seem less threatening :D

November 22, 2016 9:59 a.m.

Thanks! A few of them used to be in the deck, but cards like that are in a category that a friend of mine has termed "win more" cards. They're really good, and make for a sizable threat on the board, but that's about it. I already have enough big dudes, so I'd rather have more spots open for utility.

That's cool! I will admit that it is more fun when you can make the game last a little longer so you can play more combos. The decks I play against (or with in multiplayer sometimes) are more control based and less on attacking so I am always trying to get bigger, badder creatures out since it is a nice change of pace!

I like the list, I sometimes wonder if I'd be better off going the land spell route like this, rather than creature ramp. Curious how you deal with threats in this deck? As a fellow mono-green player, I feel my biggest problem is finding answers or getting blown out with a wrath. Please have a look at mine if you can. Go Green

I definitely had more removal in the deck a few iterations ago, but I've recently made it significantly less focused on interacting with other people and more so on racing itself to the finish line. Wraths don't usually hit me too hard, because most of my important cards aren't even creatures. I see that your deck is pretty elf heavy, so I can see where you would have more trouble with that, so you might try to throw in some indestructibility or alternate protection (regeneration or recursion). Soul of New Phyrexia is one of my favorites, but it might be too slow for your deck. Eldrazi Monument seems along the same lines.
