Courser of Kruphix is a staple in midrange and ramp decks. I'd try to find a place for a playset!!

@GamrMan11 I did have a playset of Courser of Kruphix but removed one to add 1x Hydra Broodmaster . Whenever Broodmaster has come out during Playtesting, I'm usually able to get 9 9/9s or better. When he shows up he's an attention whore.

@ GamerSonX o dude, i think most people are on board for mono Green tbh. I know I'm looking forward to it, i bought m15 nissa cases cuz Green just looks so good atm. Although I am worried about removal. but I guess everyone really should be.

you could probably use Chord of Calling in place of Life's Legacy especially since Legacy is sorcery speed and with all the mana available and you wouldn't lose a creature.

I like, even LOVE Life's Legacy for many reasons.

1. Being mana ramp my hand empties rather quickly. I can sac a Polukranos, draw 5 or more cards and then cast another one.

2. Sac a Burning-Tree Emissary and draw 2 to help pull monsters

3. Sac Scuttling Doom Engine after attack phase (whether or not he does attacking damage), opponent takes 6dmg. and I draw 6 cards.

I'm iffy about Chord of Calling. Yes, it's an excellent card, but I don't like searching the library especially with cards like Ob Nixilis, Unshackled on the loose. Yes, I could sideboard Chord of Calling, and I may do that eventually. But for now I am really liking Genesis Hydra . I usually pull off a 6/6 minimum hydra, revealing a nice monster and get to play that, too. Typically, I usually get Genesis Hydra out as a 10/10 or better. I have no problem finding what I need this way. Even a Nissa, Worldwaker . Also, don't forget that even if Genesis Hydra is countered you still get to place the dug up card on the battlefield.

Life's Legacy at sorcery is the suck but as a near finisher with Scuttling Doom Engine i can see some use but 3? and although that does sound great i wouldn't necessarily want to sac the Scuttling Doom Engine when i can use it to keep beating my opponent down , it's a toss up with Life's Legacy

Chord of Calling vs. Genesis Hydra ? I would go with Genesis Hydra for exactly the reasoning you used

If I can swing for 6 on T4, then sac it after battle doing 6 damage and drawing 6 cards, both Life's Legacy and Scuttling Doom Engine have done their due. That's 60% of the starting life total in one turn with one creature. Melikes! I also don't mind sacking a Polukranos if I'm set to cast another on my end step to draw big.

I am glad you brought up Ob Nixilis, Unshackled unless you are playing Legacy, maybe even Modern, you shouldn't worry, he will never see Standard play, he is just a horrible card in the standard format.

@GamerSonX, I'm not sure I entirely agree with that. There's a lot of "search your library" cards in standard right now, and I've seen Nixilis in a lot of sideboards.

Without me looking, is he the only penalty card for searching libraries in standard?

I'm referring to competitive on a pro level not local.

Yes he is so far the only penalty card right now which doesn't make him any good in the standard format, now if you were cracking fetchlands or something I can see him being viable, I made a special spot for him in my Burning Reanimator for Legacy, and my junk reanimator in modern.

I am also on the mono green mana ramp as in my deck Nylea mana ramp but i would take out the burning trees for 2 Courser of Kruphix and 2 more Hydra Broodmaster

The discussion on Life's Legacy is why I just splash blue in my deck...Chord of Calling to Prime Speaker Zegana flashed in due to Prophet of Kruphix is sadly a common and easy play to make. Plus Simic Charm (drool).

@cjk191997, I have 3 Coursers, so I can't add two more ;) Don't underestimate Burning-Tree Emissary, I've been able to do some amazing things with it. I only want to run one Hydra Broodmaster, mostly because the mana curve is excellent the way it is and i don't want to ruin what I've been experiencing in dozens of Playtests.

I am running Mono-Green to Madge the deck as fast as possible.

Don't forget to +1 the deck, guys, if you like it. I suggest Playtesting it a few times to get the feel for it.

I think your missing something, Burning tree should be played turn 2 off of the mystic and the first land, then activate nykthos, and play a 2 or 3 drop. Like voyaging satyr or courser.

Also life's legacy seems like an amazing card, but its completely counter productive.

It definitely can be counterproductive if I misuse it, but during Playtesting and use of my proxy deck it has been sounding and answers a huge need if I'm in the situation of top-decking. It's helped me win games. There are also times I have it in my hand and I don't use it because I don't need to. I understand that right there sounds like a wasted spot, but it's really not been.

Still don't agree with Scuttling Doom Engine but rest looks good if you like this deck you should check this one out Nylea mana ramp
