I don't know if this will help you but, I discovered quite a nasty combo with Niv-Mizzet and Willbreaker. If you are focusing on card draw to del damage with Niv this gives you the chance to direct damage to a creature and take control of it. Works well in commander. Not sure how affective it will be in Modern though.

Ninja_T0-_-0 thanks for your suggestion, but Willbreaker isn't quite good for modern, although it makes good combo with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, it's 5 mana cost which is compare to main combo not good and it doesn't make infinite combo. I would use it, if this was standart for more control over the board, but in modern I need faster combo and more early counters. Anyway good suggestion.

Is this supposed to be a competitive deck, or a casual one? Most competitive decks I've seen (not even talking PTs) would be long gone before you had any chance at playing any of your PWs or creatures. Counters are great, but can only hold someone off for so long. General rule of thumb for making a modern deck, know that most are designed to be established on turn 2-3 and kill you on turn 3-4. Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is a great card, but a bit slow in modern. Same with Iona, Shield of Emeria.

You have some strong modern cards in here, like your counters, Ghostly Prison, and Supreme Verdict, but you need a way to be proactive and defensive earlier on.

costrander3689 this is control deck, so yes it's slow and yes the best early spells you can cast are counters, mass destroy and control board enchantments, just look on it this way, you'll counter 1st turn with Mana Titheand 2nd turn with Mana Leak, 3rd turn play Ghostly Prison and most of red decks and agro decks won't have mana to attack you with more than 1 creature, then you can beggin to play your own game and you'll be diging for things like Jace, Gideon and others and after you've everything you need you'll warm up your combo.I know it's slow but it's designed to survive your Rule of Law is there against burn and like I already wroteafter Ghostly Prison most of aggro decks won't be able to attack you with more than one creature per turn.

No argument on the ability of counterspells, assuming you have them. I would dump the Dissolves for 2 more Mana Leaks, which cost less, and work better with Ghostly Prison. And Rule of Law is fine, but is more of a sideboard card for burn and infect than anything else.

Last concern is that your only win condition requires having both Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (who has to survive a whole turn) and Curiosity, and there's no guarantee you'll have them for turns 6 and 7. One Path to Exile or Doomblade is the end of your game, and you've got nothing else after that.

Concept of the deck is pretty straight forward, but I'd think about other possible win-cons for your deck.

costrander3689 thanks for suggestion, truth was those Dissolves were useless compare to Mana Leaks, also I'll try to get there more win conditions, but truth also is that I don't need Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind there for entire turn, I just need to draw a card and the combo is awoken. Other win conditions, than this combo, are Jace and Gideon, but you're right it needs something more... I'll find something.

Didn't even think about that. I would suggest something that draws you cards with no mana cost, like Merfolk Looter, which also help you cycle through your deck faster in the early game.

costrander3689 thanks for suggestion, early draw makes it litle faster.
