This is my first ever attempt to make a modern deck that could go to an event at my lgs. Typically I am an EDH player but I saw these cards, figured I would give it a shot, not looking to spend a fortune since edh is my first love. I have all of these cards, which is why I consider it budget. A good portion of these cards are in various edh's and would be temporarily subbed out to put the deck together. I would love to see this as a semi-competitive deck. I am open to suggestions of what I can do differently. But from what little I have seen about modern you basically want cheap value spells, creatures as finishers, and your overall curve low with good mana fixing. Am I wrong?
