This deck was based on getting Lethal Vapors + Pithing Needle
out so no creatures can be summoned. So the over all wincon for this dealing damage every time your opponent draws or discards a card. Stacking Howling Mine

creates a huge amount of card draw, and subsequently, a large amount of damage per turn. Also playing Liliana's Caress adds damage when your opponent discards their overflowing hand. Overall it seems to do the job in about ten turns give or take.
If the combo is running a bit slow there is also Doom Blade and Go for the Throat for quick removal of threats. Also they will be needed to kill any creatures on the field before he Lethal Vapors + Pithing Needle
combo since it only destroys creatures coming into play. I would like to add Ensnaring Bridge but it is just too much monies (even though I know most people consider it a staple).
I normally like to create a deck on budget but it seems that Black removal and draw damage enchantments are all kind of pricey, so this one is a bit hard on the proverbial wallet. Pretty much all the staples, Underworld Dreams, Liliana's Caress, Howling Mine(s) are over $2 a card. Bloodchief Ascension is like $5. Even Pithing Needle and Dark Ritual are over $1. So it just seems that anything even remotely similar to black 8-rack it pricey...
The sideboard has a few interesting cards. By adding the Font of Mythos the card draw, and subsequent damage would go up; but the card is expensive, both CMC and monetarily. Even without the font, adding Ebony Owl Netsuke seems like it could be extremely effective with all the card draw. With the difficulty of pulling both Lethal Vapors and Pithing Needle I thought about breaking the "no creatures" and adding a Phyrexian Revoker but due to price and theme I left it out. The same ''no creature'' issue arose with Kederekt Parasite, a potentially great card for this deck theme aside. Decree of Pain would be great for but it is a bit late game, and you probably would win by the time you use it effectively. Storage Matrix could be helpful, forcing your opponent to decide between attacking twice or having mana; but there are already too many three mana drops in this deck. And finally, Megrim and Cabal Ritual are just worst versions of Liliana's Caress and Dark Ritual, respectively.
The Maybeboard is basically just overpriced, but potentially juicy, cards.
As with all my decks, they are mostly for fun. I typically do not compete or have the funding to gather the cards I covet. Just dreaming up combos and fun gameplay. But still, Any suggestions, comments, upvotes, or whatever are always appreciated.Thx
