Thanks ChrisHansonBiomancin,I was avoiding double non-green but I didn't know Ember Swallower existed until now, I definitely need one of those! I'll playtest some bramblecrush.Gatecreeper is more of an artifact of when it was a pure ramp with axebane guardians, and I didn't have the tilling in, so I'll look at cutting that. I'll try out voyaging satyr or Satyr Hedonist .Not sure I want to invest any money in planeswalkers atm but will think about adding more blue to make opportunity more possible

The big problem I see with this deck is how your mana is distributed. You have power houses like Progenitor Mimic and Ember Swallower but Not enough blue or red manna to reliably get to play them. I would suggest adding cards like Burning-Tree Emissary and throwing Peak Eruption into your sideboard for an excuse to put more red manna in. Then maybe a few Izzet Guildgate , Gruul Guildgate , or Simic Guildgate , (or the shock-land equivalent,) so it's a little easier for you to get the blue/red mana out. I'v never wanted to rely on my Sylvan Caryatid for the mana I absolutely needed.Personally I like to only have 3 of anything that is a 6 drop or more, as you don't need to draw it early, you can draw it any time. Urban Evolution is late game mana, which you don't need, and blue gives great draw power. I would suggest Divination as a cheaper faster draw force and a reason for more blue mana and less green. Try to get another Savageborn Hydra , he a great end game, I love him! Good luck at FMN!

I use the gatecreepers and the frenzied tillings to fix my mana, it seems to work ok (though I haven't actually received the ember swallowers and put it into an actual match yet). I prefer basic land for the speed, but gates could work with the gatecreeper too if I do run into fixing problems. The reason I have 4 of the bigger creatures is that the progenitor mimic onto the sylvan primordial does amazing LD, and I want to draw those as reliably as possible.
You're right in that I don't need late game mana (unless I've sacrificed my land) but I prefer urban evolution to divination because it nets me more cards (I playtested with both).
Thanks for your suggestions, I'll try it with the gates. And certainly get peak eruption sideboarded

If you're going for the land destruction strategy, you need to go all-out; otherwise, you should at least cut Frenzied Tilling, and there really are better options than the Primordial to ramp into. For land hate, I'd get a playset of Ember Swallower , max out Encroaching Waste, and maybe mix in some Bramblecrush
Gatecreeper Vine also isn't ideal since it doesn't ramp and you're not worried about Gates or Defenders. Voyaging Satyr is a good choice since it can untap Nykthos.
Finally, with all your ramp, having Divination as your card draw seems underwhelming since it really only nets one card. I'd go for heavier hitters like Prime Speaker Zegana , Opportunity , Jace, Architect of Thought , and/or Garruk, Caller of Beasts .
If you decide to just go with a ramp strategy without the land hate, check out my GU Devotion deck- My Prophet, Your Loss (Top 4 FNM)
