Snivy__ The most common sequence of play for my deck is, play creatures to overwhelm the board early then finish out the game with burn spells. For the most part I won't trigger prowess, and a lot of my creatures die along the way. There have been a ton of times in which the last goblin I have, or the one I draw off the top, is the fodder for lethal grenade, and swiftspear doesn't sac to grenade.

jordybear2002 Krenko belongs in a way way different deck, and Matron isn't modern legal.

Razzberry I was playing Thalia when the combo deck to beat was Ad Nauseam, but storm, cheerios, and ironworks all popped up as combos people play more now. Eidolon is better against those decks than Thalia. I mostly just bring him in as a hoser for those combo decks.

Hi hellakevin, did you consider / try playing Lightning Helix ? (for example instead of Torch Courier)

Uvogline first of all, I'm about at the minimum density of goblins I like for grenade. The first flex spots for not goblin cards are the lavamancers and boros charms. I haven't tried helix, but I don't feel like the life gain is super relevant. I think I'd almost always be better off with more damage from charm or repeatable damage from lavaman. If I did want just more damage spells I'd probably look at shard volley before helix because of the better mana cost. The most relevant MU for it would be burn, but my burn MU is actually really good whenever they don't play kor firewalker. Also path is in the board specifically for firewalker.

Thank you for the answer hellakevin, that make sense. I was just wondering if there wasn't anything better than Torch Courier. Because even if it's a goblin for 1 with haste that can be used for a Goblin Grenade, it doesn't seem / feel that good... Can't help but think there may be something better to use instead :)

Yeah like Reckless Bushwhacker

Snivy__, he said sooner that he "cut" Reckless Bushwhacker for Boros Charm, as he found Charm to constantly be more damage than Reckless Bushwhacker (besides on his best day). Therefore, I don't think he would change a 1 drop card for a 2-3 drop card.

Thinking about it hellakevin, wouldn't Bomat Courier be a good alternative to this Torch Courier, even if it's not a goblin ? The card advantage offered by this card could be very interesting :)
