Here's a question: What if Boros, but you don't actually attack?

Hi, my name is Gisela, Blade of Goldnight , and I want to talk to you about this new concept called "patience".

This deck is out for war. Avatar of Slaughter , Fumiko the Lowblood and Goblin Spymaster make sure of that. But it's a war you don't actually want to participate in yourself. Play out Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs , Darien, King of Kjeldor or a Slumbering Dragon and watch your opponents think twice before they cross over into your quarter of the table. Or, if you want to play it safe, Ghostly Prison , Sphere of Safety and Windborn Muse do the trick as well. If your creatures get caught up in the action, just call them back with Reconnaissance .

While your opponents go at each other's throats, you don't need to sit idly by either. Crescendo of War , Blood Frenzy and Balduvian Rage can spice up any battle, whether you're actually in it or not.

"But what if my opponents don't actually play any creatures?" I hear you ask over the blood-curdling screams of the dying. Well, you can help with that as well. Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor and her Varchild's War-Riders should fill up the board pretty nicely, and Hunted Dragon helps as well. Then finish out the game with an Insurrection .

And since you're basically playing control now, why not throw in some counters? Mana Tithe , Lapse of Certainty and Chancellor of the Annex are doing work here.

But, you know... if all of that sounds like too much work, just introduce Gisela to Heartless Hidetsugu and be done with it, you killjoy.
