I run with Ensnaring Bridge

Vlasiax Very nice Deck and also nice overview of all defenders. Wall of Shards is a nice beater but I don't like his upkeep since I don't want to have my opponents to gain life. I know it wouldn't be that much in a multiplayer game or have a big impact but it could be the one life you are missing to remove from them later (besides it's not just one life cummulative upkeep goes up every turn).

Fun Fact, I've never drawn into Wall of Kelp. I also think it's a very bad card and could be replaced by a far better defenedr, but people here wanted me to try it and so I put it back in the deck. I have absolutely no idea how it performs. Heroic Intervention will probably be added in the future.

thcue thank you for your suggestion, but I probably go with Noetic Scales, since I mostly have around 3-4 cards in my hand.

Akroma's Memorial or Eldrazi Monument might be worth concidering. Wall of Kelp's token would work well with the monument. I am not sure if there are any other cards that create defenders/walls right off hand.

mattmccrackin you are absolutely right but I'm quite unsure it it would fit in and both have a relative high cmc. But you gave me some ideas for one of my other decks with Akroma's Memorial, thank you!

Vlasiax I know, but i've never came into such a situation ^^' For now it will stay, since it reads very good and you and the others are probably right. I'll keep trying in having it on the battlefield one day!

Your "MassDestroy" category should probably be renamed boardwipes - do you have a reason for calling it that?

Have you thought of adding Gravity Well. You don't have a lot of defense from flying and its a great 3 drop to take flying away from the game for a while. Its my go to anti flying card. However in my play group there are lot of flying creatures played. But that may not be the case in your play group.

Rontox the only deck in my group with a lot of fliers is Kaalia of the Vast, Normally my defenders with reach or flying are enough, but I'll keep this in mind if creatures with flying become a threat. Thank you!

Crushing Canopy is also a thing against flyers with a bit more utility.

Builder's Blessing maybe?

Skullion123 Thank you for your suggestion! Builder's Blessing only works while blocking. Defenders would loose the +0/+2 when attacking (except with vigilance). Since the deck is mostly fast and aggressive it wouldn't get much benefit out of it.

Did you consider Portcullis Vine ? it's basically a 3/3 for 1 with a neat ability should a creature of you be blocked you can prevent lifelink or get value if it trades badly.

I have a deck similar to this, only I run Doran, the Siege Tower in a Tiny Leaders format. I run Season of the Witch and Behind the Scenes, along with Wall of Blood as a great kill card. This deck makes me want to revisit it and flesh it out to EDH though!

Meeknomore Glad I gave you some inspiration with my deck. I wish you a lot of fun games with yours if you build it :) Too bad that the cards you mentioned are off colour. They are really great!

I have a couple quick questions: have you considered running Forbid in here as a reuseable counter spell? With the card draw that is produced, the buyback should be easily achieved. Also I am wondering if you have found anything that gives them vigilance or additional boosts ((trample, flying, etc)? That would be highly beneficial. Cards like Always Watching, or even Vivien Reid. Also I am not sure if it was mentioned for late game aspect but Colossus of Akros would be great.

mattmccrackin Thank you for your suggestions. For a vigilance-like effekt I use Masako the Humorless and for "trample" Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive. Vivien wouldn't survive long enough in our meta, since there is lot of hate against planeswalkers, for whatever reason. But you gave me an interesting idea and I will do some research. For Forbid to use effectively, the carddraw had to be extended. Also, I really love Colossus of Akros, but it has been a dead card in early games and even when I played him he didn't make his mana back. Most of the games I tested with him ended before he released his full potential or he died to artifact or creature removal.

DarkStarStorm Nice pun :) I'm aware of High Alert and will swap Assault Formation for it. I only make changes to the deck when I own the card, though.

Wouldn't you want both in the deck for that sweet redundancy?

DarkStarStorm I don't think I need both. I really never had to use Assault Formation before so I will just swap it for the better one. Maybe I'll change this in the future.

You might wanna cut Consulate Skygate for Resolute Watchdog . Protecting Arcedes for 1 Mana seems really strong.
