Consider AEther Vial, it can flash in basically all of your deck once it reaches two counters.

Why use Rogue's Passage? It seems like you will rarely have the mana to activate it, and with all of your double black mana symbols then another fetch or Swamp would be better.

Strictly and excellent tribal deck - +1 from me - would definitely build this.

AEther Vial i feel might be useful enough to drop the land count to 20 taking out 2 swamps for it. what do you think lemmingllama Countertop

as for the Rogue's Passage i have not seen it hinder me yet but also i have not come up with a scenario other than against artifact creatures and black creatures that it becomes necessary. still playtesting this one to see if it is worth it yet.

Thanks for the support nuklearweasel

I would drop the 2 Viscera Seers for 2 vials as i dont think they do too much for the deck, cutting 2 lands is fine, as long as AEther Vial is at 4, as for the fetches, I would run a set of 8, as i mentioned earlier, you definitely want the buff from nocturnus to be online the moment he drops, and for the next 2-3 turns, so fetching when there is something non-black on top gives you a chance to hit a black card

Countertop Viscera Seer allows Vampire Nocturnus to pop as well. not to mention allows my Kalastria Highborn ability to combo too. the fetch may become a possibility since i just ordered some. at most i will have 6 though. i get more wins with Kalastria Highborn than pure brute force. Vampire Nocturnus is actually a secondary win con in this deck.

I still believe strongly in 4 AEther Vial, as they allow you to put more creatures onto the field than if you were to just cast them, for aggro decks like yours, a turn 1 aether vial means a lot towards winning

i believe eventually i may replace the 2 Pawn of Ulamog for either 2 AEther Vial or 1 AEther Vial and 1 Kalastria Highborn till then i need to buy the last 2 AEther Vial

Nice deck but not fan of Tragic Slip, Bile Blight would be better. +1

Bile Blight may be very handy for mass production defense in this deck. worth looking into. thanks lakit

lakit Tragic Slip is in b/c it is easy to trigger since you often are sacrificing creatures plus it's really good against Tarmogoyf, Deceiver Exarch, indestructible, etc.

Considering all the devotion to black you'll be building up it looks like you could make use of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Even if your devotion isn't that high as long as you have Urborg, tomb of Yawgmoth out it can still be tapped as a normal swamp.

jcaseys34323 i playested shrine for a bit but my creatures are sacrificed to fast for it to be really useful. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

I think i may just take you up on your suggestion Yggdrasil60 on Dismember i will keep Tragic Slip side boarded for just in case i face creatures that are indestructible and larger than 5/5. seems more often than not i do not encounter 6/6 indestructible and up. thanks for the suggestion.

The problem with Tragic Slip is that you have to sac one creature, which makes card disadvantage, and it won't be used at it best if you are behind and have no creatures to sac. Also, there is almost no creatures larger than X/5 played in modern.

Could produce some good mana with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and gain some other great card draw with Phyrexian Arena.

Also the Mutavault would be a 4/3 flyer, not a 3/2, with Nocturnus.

Consider Altar's Reap for card draw instead of (or with) Sign in Blood because it synergizes with your sacrificial nature.

Thanks for catching my typo CharlesMandore and thanks for the suggestions.

Anji3739 if i find that i have the creatures to spare and not enough life Altar's Reap may be a decent replacement. so far the life gain makes Sign in Blood barely felt.

Grave pact feels a bit slow here. More of your vampires need to be 4-ofs. And Shadow Alley Denizen is god awful. Pulse Tracker, Viscera Seer and Vampire Lacerator are the best 1-drops monoblack vamps has access to. You need more creature hate. In particular, Gatekeeper of Malakir is the best vampire in the game and should be a mandatory 4-of. I recommend one or two Killing Wave.

As for the side

Ratchet Bomb, Torpor Orb, Mindbreak Trap, Pithing Needle, Leyline of the Void, Dragon's Claw, Smother, and Ghost Quarter are a good place to start.

Only 3 Vampire Nocturnus! That is the best card in vampire tribal by shure!

That makes turn 4 kill impossible! But it's up to you!

Vampire was one of my first decks i played. Love it

+1of course

Altar's Reap can trigger your Blood Artist and Kalastria Highborn for even more life gain. Thought I'd point that out. Maybe running 2 of them with 2 Sign in Blood for versatility.

So you're saying sac a creature and drain 1 or 2 life is better than losing 2 life ? Really ?
