Now its a manifest deck! The Ghostfire Blade is at its best against any aggro deck, against control it just increases the pressure that a single creature applies. both it and Mastery of the Unseen do stick around after a board wipe.

epikurus i guess your right. I thought that origins was just going to be a summer set like conspiracy, I didn't realize it was going to be the last core set.

I have built a very similar deck, with two noticeable differences: I'm using Crater Elemental as protection and Explosive Vegetation to ramp up to Atarka and Ugin.

I am wondering, however, about your two Avatar of the Resolute. Why run them? They are very seldom going to come in with counters. I would rather run Scaleguard Sentinels or Heir of the Wilds as two-drops.

For the reach. I used to have Frost Walker in there. I'm still not sure about Avatar of the Resolute. I feel like I already have so many things I want to do at CMC4 that I can't imagine how I'd fit Explosive Vegetation. I was thinking Shaman of Forgotten Ways at 3 instead of avatar. What do you think?

I'm using a singleton Shaman of Forgotten Ways (I got it in a booster, and my Temur deck is my secondary one) and it does a very good job.

As for Reach, I don't seem to encounter that many flyers in my local metagame, and those I do all have 4+ toughness (Thunderbreak Regent, Wingmate Roc, Stormbreath Dragon, Butcher of the Horde). That's why I'm using Crater Elemental: I simply sac it to deal 4. Other than that... If you're worried about flyers and are using Deathmist Raptor, how about a couple of Monastery Flock in the sideboard? Or simply Plummet?

I think I need to focus more on CMC4 since I'm ramping. I'll think about Crater Elemental, but it doesn't feel punchy enough. I think I'd prefer Goblin Rabblemaster if I were to add more red in CMC3.

In the little time i had to look at this I know one thing, This deck is like candy for my eyes. The sheer amount of mythic symbols coupled with the colorful temur giants makes me happy, very happy indeed. solid looking, I'll give it a closer look later.

Oh wow now that you mention it I realize I've used a lot of fancy cards. They just look so dangerous this way.

I tested against some speedier decks tonight. It won 5:3 against a janky but fast mardu aggro even without a turn 1 to speak of. I hope magic origins gives me some T1 creatures to work with.

Since I added the Crater Elemental there are now 11 good CMC3 targets for Collected Company. I added 2 to test it out. I imagine a turn3 with two Savage Knuckleblade hitting the board as surprise blockers.

I woud not run Collected Company with only 11 valid target. Check the math here. On average, you'll get one creature. It's simply not enough. My friend plays a deck with Collected Company and about 20 valid targets and he got nothing quite a few times.

IMHO, the only decks that really wants it are weenie aggro deck, like this one of mine: DTK - Anafenza's Company. (full disclosure, I do not own enough cards yet to make that deck a reality, so I never tested it.)

There are actually 18 "valid" targets including 11 "prime" targets

Added more dragons, took out Collected Company. Cleared out anything not of the Tarkir Block.

First play test I got Sunscorch Regent out turn 4. I think a +1 is in order, good deck.
