You can't use Oona because blue isn't in your commander's color identity.

Took Oona out. I forgot about that rule. I replaced it with Creakwood Liege . Would Boartusk Liege or Ashenmoor Liege work better?

I'd keep Creakwood Liege because tokens.

Where is Grave Pact ? xD

freezerboy says... #5

Definitely need Grave Pact , and you should have a Helm of Possession in there. I've made many an opponent cry when it comes into play.

You should add in some devour creatures so you can drop them as a final big smack in the face Thromok the Insatiable , He just goes om nom nom nom

Harvester of Souls only triggers when a non-token creature dies, otherwise it would be quite insane in this deck. I have a Prossh deck as well and the cards I have found to be consistent powerhouses are Grave Titan , Kyren Negotiations and Vicious Shadows . The latter two allow for easy damage to an opponent without even needing to attack. Also, I agree with freezerboy about Helm of Possession : in a deck with tokens and sac outlets it becomes downright nasty.

@ Fullmetalmage

I was actually thinking about adding him (her?) today! I've taken out Hunted Troll as a replacement.

@Kornypoet

I agree with the Grave Titan and I could easily find room for it. Harvester of Souls is nice because it also triggers when someone else's creature dies. I didn't plan to use it as a combo with tokens, only because I need something in my deck to help with drawing cards. As with Kyren Negotiations and Vicious Shadows , I don't really know what I should take out of my deck. They both seem pretty decent though.

Also if anybody has suggestions on what to take out for better cards in the maybeboard please let me know!

Honestly, any deck that generates a lot of tokens and has red should use Burn at the Stake

Grave Pact is extra nasty with Butcher of Malakir . Also I'd add Doubling Season for extra tasty tokens and +1/1+ counters.

December 24, 2013 7:20 p.m.

Vraska the Unseen , talk about nom nom tokens...

December 26, 2013 9:47 a.m.

Pooze says... #12

@ Loosemagoose0: I'm not so keen on Butcher of Malakir because I have plenty of OP creatures that I run / am going to run. Doubling Season Sounds pretty good though, just need to save up some money to get it. :)

@pingpongball120: I totally agree with Vraska the Unseen . I've been trying to trade for one but my supplier keeps forgetting to bring it when I see him. Will add though!

@ Whoever reads this: I've updated the deck and took out Asceticism because I lost it :( . I added Grave Titan and am going to purchase the cards I currently have in the maybeboard for possible additions to the deck.

I'm honestly unsure on this deck. It seems to be missing some staples, some awesome cards and running some ones that ain't so great.

You want tokens, and to use tokens to help fuel your sacrifice engine, right?

January 1, 2014 6:46 a.m.

Pooze says... #14

Right. Could you explain some of the staples I'm missing? Also note that this deck is casual and I don't plan to bring it to any serious events. The only staple that I'm aware I'm missing is Mycoloth , and I would have one if I could get my hands on one.

January 1, 2014 9:47 p.m.

MollyMab says... #15

Mycoloth isn't a staple.

Even if it is just for playing with friends or casually, EDH decks can be very good.

For a token deck, you want redundancy in its doubling effects. Parallel Lives , Doubling Season and Primal Vigor . With those 3 out, 1 token becomes 8 and 1 +1/+1 counter becomes 4 +1/+1 counters.

Ashnod's Altar is a sac outlet for tokens, and the like which is very relevant. With a card like Furnace Celebration you can simply go sacrifice a creature, deal 2 damage.

On the subject of sac outlets, you also want Goblin Bombardment It is too good not to run as it is a free sac outlet that does damage.

Food Chain and Prossh make an infinate mana and creature combo. Basically you exile the kobolds for 1 mana and prosh for 7 mana, send him to the command zone, recast, get more tokens.

Prossh Minor Tweaks is the begining of my tweaking of a Prossh deck. I'm still working on it but it is going to be a combo-aggro deck that generates tokens quickly and then uses them to power various engines.

Birthing Pod is very good in decks like this if you don't care about budget.

Ogre Battledriver is fun when you keep sacking tokens. Utvara Hellkite is great for tokens and great synergy with prossh

I meant generating tokens

Feed the Pack is a card I'm considering for my Prossh deck. Combos nice with Thromok if you can bring him back from the grave.

Eat 6 Kobolds, get a 36/36 Wurm. Sac Wurm get 36 2/2 wolves. Bring back Thromok to get a 1296/1296 Wurm. Sac to get 1296 2/2 wolves.

Parallel Lives should be put back in. Not as great as Doubling Season or Primal Vigor , but you want you best chances at drawing one of the 3 if you can't tutor one up.

Malevolent Awakening for bringing back creatures.

Ermahgerd, you need a Skullclamp .

January 11, 2014 12:21 a.m.

Supernova626 says... #20

I see that Skullclamp in your maybeboard. OMG RUN THAT B@#$%. Basically, one mana, lose a kobold, draw two cards. THEN if you have stuff like Blood Artist you gain life and they lose it. IDK if you just don't have it yet or what.

Also, Iv'e been killed by many of Ashnod's Altar +Exsanguinate Evil combo

And if that's not enough!!One shot your opponents with Triumph of the Hordes Swing with Prossh and his goonies + some fatties

Those 0/1 Kobolds... yeah they just beat the s*** out of you!

Bearhemoth says... #21

You need Doubling Season , badly. I know it's expensive but it lets every planeswalker you have besides Domri use their ultimate when they enter the field. Even with him he only needs to wait one turn.

Ignore that comment, I'm clearly blind/haven't had my coffee yet. I would suggest more tutors though like Worldly Tutor , Diabolic Intent and Vampiric Tutor .

April 5, 2014 10:06 a.m.

Komamura says... #23

I would take out Hex Parasite .

October 3, 2014 10:19 a.m.

You NEED Food Chain. It's incredible. Also, Parallel Lives wouldn't be bad for some extra token doubling. I still use Primal Vigor in my build also, it does me more good than it has ever done anyone else.

You can check out my deck if you like, maybe get some other ideas.

@ DreadnoughtMTG

I currently have Food Chain and use it in my sideboard. It's an Infinite combo which is frowned upon by my playgroup so I don't use it often. The reason I don't use Parallel Lives is that I don't think that it does enough. I have many other cards I can use instead of it, so if I were to put it in, I would remove Primal Vigor, but I think that vigor does much more for me. I'll put it in sideboard though as when facing token decks Primal Vigor can sometimes work against you.

@ Everyone

Liliana of the Veil over some other card, specifically planeswalker? I've been hearing that Domri Rade isn't that good in commander anymore, but I think that he is a good distraction and sometimes booster.
