Yes Gravecrawler is very cool (but kinda expensive card, most of the cards in this deck I already have). Was thinking about him, but will prolly need 3 - 4 copies if I put him in, and if I want to play him fast then turn one black mana is required. What you think?

Also I feel like I need more creatures which means cutting on other spells, but what should be removed then? Please test deck as it is and give me some feedback. Thank you in advance

Well, I would change around the sideboard a little to find room to put your Golgari Charm , I honestly think the only time it's useful is against board sweeps and such. I think that your creatures are fine, but I would find a place to put a few Rancor s in, it will make a turn one Gravecrawler . into a turn 2 4/1 that comes back to you when killed. I would get at least 3 gravecrawlers and focus on getting rid of the things that don't provide you with late endgame or early advantage.

Ok, good on creatures. Rancor is nice for Gravecrawler but it won't do much for Lotleth Troll or fliers. Now, I want to add card:Ranger's Guile or Sheltering Word to protect my Lotleth Troll from removal. Is artifact removal like Naturalize necessary or no?

Treasured Find is the anti spot removal. I'd recommend 4 of 'em. Also, i know they ain't cheap, but moar Deathrite Shaman will tie in with the discards well.

@Twanicus, yes Treasured Find is cool, but for now I am running only 2 because I don't know what to remove yet to add one or two more... I need to go to FNM and finally test this against other decks :). Only one Deathrite Shaman because I will mostly use his first two abilities( Not that many creatures that I want to exile from graveyard). I don't really know why I added him ( He looks very cool and got many abilities:) ).

I think you would be better off having 2 Nighthawks rather than one of both the Nighthawk and imp. The Nighthawk comes out dangerous but the imp just lowers the possibility of drawing the cards you want to when you need them. Same with Deathrite, his abilities are kind of a moot point if you don't have any more than 1. I do like increasing savagery, seriously scary stuff in the late game, especially with a rancor.

@iPodJack, ok ty for your suggestions, yeah Nighthawk is definitely better it's just 2 black mana kinda scares me, imp is just cheaper solution, but i see your point and will prolly change to 2 hawks instead of imp. yeah Increasing Savagery is awesome in this deck, right now I got only one because i put 2 Deadbridge Goliath s ( need to see what works better for me, so I might have 2 Savageries and 1 Goliath later).

I personally enjoy Deathrite Shaman all of his abilities can be used on your opponents graveyards as well as your own. Really fun to use on other Golgari players.

Perhaps a card such as Veilborn Ghoul could be a decent addition to this already amazing deck. Not even in the deck to play but discard him to the troll, play a swamp and get him to your hand from the grave, rinse and repeat I found works quite well.

Been checkin out your deck for ideas, I like it. ("Count...er" On Me! is my deck)
I went more for the scavenge ability of Varolz, and flash creatures that block and die.
I also agree with both sides of the Deathrite Shaman issues, I may sideboard for the fun with other golgari players, or graveyard flashbackers. but I want "stuff" in graveyard. 1 or none... no more
"Mythimine" has a interesting idea with Veilborn Ghoul .. you r running 9 swamps and 3 overgrown's ... I'm lookin more at him now.
Only other thing I might "alter"... instead of Naturalize , sideboard Sundering Growth , why have 3 assassin's when you could have 4... for the same costs.

ginko2580, nice deck, a little different approach than mine. My goal is to make the deck diverse, yet strong. I don't like it when most of the spells in a deck is 4x... Yes Mythimine has nice idea, but I don't know what to replace because that strategy needs prolly 3 or 4 Veilborn Ghoul , and deck already works good enough with Slitherhead and Gravecrawler .
Also, Increasing Savagery here is amazing card for longer games.
Will think about Sundering Growth thank you for suggestions.

The mentality i like to use, is if it's good enough to be in the deck, it's good enough to have four of. i think cutting down on the one/2 of's would really give you a better chance to grab these things that would really help in an FNM. just my opinion though.

If you run black in your deck, you run 4 Vampire Nighthawk
June 5, 2013 12:02 p.m.
shagstafah Not in this case. Here Vampire Nighthawk acts as a second target for counters, but he is not as important as Lotleth Troll . If Vampire Nighthawk is on board he will just get some counters for life gaining, that's it. Or he will replace Troll if troll is countered or removed completely from the deck by some spell.

Nice! I like it, I've been playing with my Golgari deck at FNM, it does okay, net decks are hard to beat tho. I made mine so that I don't have to change anything when the old sets drop (except the duel land) feel free to check it out.CounterKeeper +1

Consider Gravecrawler , most of your things are zombies anyway. Plus on top of the Lotleth Troll combo.
