Sideboard

This is an interesting take on a Soul Sisters lifegain-style deck that adds red mainly for Norin the Wary to abuse a ton of ETB triggers. It's named after the synergy between Genesis Chamber and either Soul Warden or Soul's Attendant, which can get very out of hand with an Ajani's Pridemate or Purphoros, God of the Forge. Legion Loyalist is to minimize Genesis Chamber's symmetry (so their 1/1 myrs can't chump all day), and Ranger of Eos often fetches him to swing for game.

The deck's best hand is as follows:
- Turn 1: Champion of the Parish
- Turn 2: Soul Warden, Norin the Wary, swing Champion for 3, Norin blinks
- Turn 3: assuming your opponent either played a spell or attacked, untap and swing Champion for at least 6

Very few decks can handle that much pressure that early without using a huge amount of resources to outrace your virtual card advantage (which can quickly become literal card advantage with a Mentor of the Meek out).

In games 2 and 3, you gain access to some of the best sideboard cards the Modern format has to offer: Blood Moon and Suppression Field prey on greedy manabases while Stony Silence, Rest in Peace, and Spellskite are relatively versatile (and obvious) hate cards. Proclamation of Rebirth is stupid-good against any type of control deck, and Burrenton Forge-Tender is for those control decks that run Pyroclasm effects. Wear / Tear kills bogles and affinity. Renounce the Guilds is a test, but I may keep it - it's only real purpose is hitting Geist of Saint Traft.

Very fun and rewarding to play.

(Though, the manabase is intentionally turbo-budget, so not much use arguing there.)
