Nourishment and Companionship Upgrade

Commander / EDH BGW (Abzan, Junk) Food Lifegain Tokens

Based_Duck

Maybeboard

Creature (1)

This is an upgrade for the Food and Fellowship Lord of the Rings Precon deck with Frodo and Sam as the commanders.

I've upgraded this deck trying to keep costs as close to $100 as I can, but I've gone over because of a few selfish additions and cards I already had in my collection, so I'd say it's closer to $200.

Definitely keeping with the life gain theme rather than the token production overrun alternate theme the deck originally had, aiming to get the Bilbo Baggins 111 life pay off - I CAN DREAM OK. Exchanged some removal spells for better ones, took out all the ents and cycling creatures, put a couple more ramp spells in while removing some unnecessary lands and artifact ramp.

Win cons are bilbo and 111 life of course (with plenty of boardwipe protection), along with the classic Heliod, Sun Crowned + Walking Ballista combo. In hindsight I'm realizing that defense of the heart isn't as good as I thought it was because if I try to get those two aforementioned combo pieces then Walking Ballista enters with zero counters, but I'm keeping it in because fk it

This deck clearly has the potential to put in the Cauldron Familiar + Witch's Oven + Clock of Omens combo but I'm mad that it's a three card combo and I needed the spots for other cool stuff so its in the maybeboard.

Definitely can be spruced through mana base upgrades like three pathways or an ancient tomb but like I mentioned I'm trying not to go broke with this.
