Is there anything that wont cost 30 a piece for against burn/red deck wins? Or is leyline the only answer for the build?

Well Kor Firewalker is an option.
Witchbane Orb can do the trick but red has a lot of artifact removal. Faith's Shield could protect the orb i suppose.

Orb is inferior in all ways to Leyline of Sanctity. Mono-red has artifact removal, not enchantment removal. The whole reason red splashes for green is for Destructive Revelry, the enchantment removal. So you will still come across the budget Mono-RDW that the Leyline will hose.

Yep but if you don't have the funds for leyline you're gonna need something.

What about Martyr of Sands for 2 mana she can put you well ahead of any red deck utilizing burn cards as a win con. Then you can just resume your strategy of fog.

It's a possibility.

I have been following your meditations during your black and white stages and have followed with you into the realm of azorius.

Love the deck, people at my meta were a little annoyed when I was playing infect so this is the complete opposite play style and throws them for a loop.

I still need a little bit more time to test it against things but thus far first time out I took top 4. Zoo burn got me and I had yet to acquire leyline, and the other downfall in that game was the inability to keep up on fog while looking for scepter.

The fix for this I am trying now and liking it, you may as well.Font of Mythos Draw more cards to get more fog and find combo parts. Then keep Silence up on opponent's upkeep and watch all their drawn cards filter into their graveyard.

Then drop two basics for Reliquary Tower so the same doesn't happen to you.

Then just my opinion but I still take Nevermore over Meddling Mage Less removal for it and can still be protected by Faith's Shield if it is targeted.

Thanks Drkpaw!
Font of Mythos is for sure a good idea but Howling Mine is slightly cheaper and might work better.
Nevermore is probably better tbh. I just wanted to try the mage.

Was zoo too fast? Did you just get unlucky?
I am still on the fence of including Gitaxian Probe because it thins for 0 mana and give us info on the opponent.

I wish I had more time to look over his deck but it was a zoo burn combo with SkullcrackHe was the only one that beat me 2-0

First game Burn got me after I had fog set up but didn't have silence out yet.

Leyline would have saved half my butt, but now I have them so yay. Still a sideboard so first game stays unchanged.

Should have Nevermored Skullcrack but wasn't a factor on game two.

Game two he was just to fast. Ran out of fog before getting combo out and the burn spells kept counters off Luminarch Ascension so there was no spawning blockers.

Hmm yah Leyline is just so key vs. burn. It sucks that it costs so much dang money.
Muddle the Mixture can be pretty useful for the Skullcrack people.

Howling Mine can be transmuted aswell if your desperate for the card draw.

To true, will be looking into Howling Mine as well, but loving things thus far.

Thanks for setting up such a fun deck to play

Wow this deck has come a long way. Nice job Nef. It was already a nightmare to play against last time I looked at it. Now it looks tighter. Have you thrown it up against anything particularly nasty yet?

Sagarys - Mostly vs merfolk. It is an easy win when I get fog on a scepter.

Decks I have gone against with Meditation.

Splinter twin: With calm mind I focus on the singularity of the one and all other images fade away. Love fog on their combo.

Affinity: In deeper stages of meditation one cares not for how quickly the enemy amasses. Just how quickly they fall. Fog until Supreme V then attack for win.

W/G/R Zoo: Their burn hurt and has disrupted deep concentration. Currently meditating on this to work around.

Also found one of the best in the realm of meditation. ((just thought it was funny to include and interesting to learn about))

I love all of your decks, and hate to play meta as well so I am glad I found a Kindred spirit. But on a note more realated to your deck try Telling Time instead of anticipate, it will allow you to tuck away one of the dead cards you reveal, as there will almost always be one.
