Atarka's does go through, but with a good chance on having leyline out and protected its not enough to kill.

Your correct on silence so this deck better hope its protection is up for leyline.

Continues to be a hard match up vs burn with the best strat being from sideboard starting on game two, get a leyline out at the start and guard it like its your life..because it is.

Have you considered how to interact with early planeswalkers like Liliana of the Veil or Karn Liberated?

May 15, 2015 12:14 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #8

Lili can't really deal with Luminarch Ascension nor Myth Realized FalkensteinAZ, I do agree however that tron is your weakest match-up. The tron player can literally just exile everything you own and then restart the game with it all on their own field.

Yah I'm gonna have to look into that. First the obvious answer is Nevermore that I have currently. Pithing Needle might be an option.

Why are you running Dispeller's Capsule?

May 15, 2015 5:21 p.m.

Nef says... #11

Heh funny story, it was basically only for Chalice of the Void if it had two counters on it.

May 15, 2015 5:27 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #12

It still dies if they put the counter at 1, as they can easily do that too if they realize you are running the capsule in the side.

Nef says... #13

Unless they have 2 chalices then I don't care if they put down a chalice for one.
The capsule is pretty shitty, I kinda forgot it was even in here.

You'll have better luck with Oblivion Ring.

Yah this is true. I love Oblivion Ring

TurboFog is my jam, love this deck. Also the nod to Master Yi is great.

The only issue I can see off the top of my head is that you have very little in terms of creatures. I would recommend you put in more creatures, or instants that let you get creatures. Either that, or more search cards such as Ring of Three Wishes. Other than that, I love the idea!

May 29, 2015 3:38 p.m.

Nef says... #18

The main idea of the deck is that I don't have to deal with creatures. I can just fog them off until I get my other win cons. Thanks for taking a look and leaving a suggestion :)

Better to run more Luminarch Ascension then to run Idyllic Tutor. So, -2 Silence + 2 Luminarch Ascension. I get the flavor of Silence, but its not a very good card. And if you want to beat burn, Pulse of the Fields is better than Kor Firewalker.

Nef says... #22

Pulse of the Fields is a good card! I've never even heard of it! I will def try it out.

Drkpaw says... #23

Ooh yea Pulse of the Fields looks likes lots of fun. Gonna have to try that.

May I suggest Silent Arbiter and Grand Abolisher? The arbiter is the closest thing modern has to Crawlspace; it may mess with your curve, but it'd help against agro decks if your hand/draw doesn't have any of your fog look-a-likes. The abolisher could act like a Silence during your turns, and prevents your Isochron Scepter from being countered.

Nef says... #25

Hmm ya know someone wanted to trade me some Grand Abolishers recently but my only problem with him is how easy he is to kill. Silent Arbiter is actually very interesting because I really like that card and it may actually work in here.

p.s. - Don't click the suggestion box next to cards that you don't want to suggest. You suggested Isochron Scepter (which you know I already have), Crawlspace (which you know isn't modern legal), and Silence which you also didn't want to suggest. I don't get annoyed form stuff like that but some people might :)
