Unfortunately for blink, I have to say it is a control deck that is dead vs control. Actually, you should not think about this as a control deck. It is a combo deck that aims to resolve Venser and win. I believe you are on the right track, but lack the early game control and the resiliency that blink should display.

I am glad someone else is working on a blink deck! Here is my brew for inspiration and self promotion:

Boza: That's some good points. I've looked over your deck and I really like the idea.
I've brewed my own version of the Acid combo. I don't want to throw it out there unless you think it's okay. You are credited ;)
Here it is Blink in a flash

9/10'ths of this deck is the combo for Jester's Scepter or "Joke's On You" deck. Its been around the block, and can still get you a good 'W' in modern.

I think a problem with this deck is that you have no way to cast Akroma, Angel of Fury other than a morph. There are some good blue and white cards that have morph if you really want some morph.

EpicVulcan it's true that Akroma is a bit demanding in this deck. But she is by far the best morph creature for blink. The "when you turn this creature face up" clause does not trigger with blink. That makes many morphs rather useless for me.
It's not that I want the morph, but it enables me to cheat out Akroma. I have her in the deck because I can have her turned face up in turn 4 and her cost is 3 and some blink spell. I only use 1 while having lots of blink options, so I can assure you that it's not an issue :)

I would way rather have baneslayer in my main board that akroma. I love how you took so much time to explain your reasoning for every card :)

cool deck Rathaelix. Some suggestions:

Deck needs 4 Serum Visions, great turn 1 play to get deck moving if you don't have an AEther Vial in opening hand. You can't afford to do nothing on turn one. +4

Add a 4th Restoration Angel, blink on an amazing body is the best +1

Suggest you drop Knight of the White Orchid the WW is a challenge and the other creatures here are just better. -1

Drop 2 Cloudshift - with the extra Restoration Angel and all your other blink effects I think it's taking up slots that could be better used for those Serum Visions. -2

Then would need to cut 2 other cards, tough choice. Probably 1 Cryptic Command and 1 Wingmate Roc (or 1 Akroma, Angel of Fury)

Lands: Can probably drop 1 Celestial Colonnade as it isn't really a control deck. Add 1 Mystic Gate to help with those UU and WW costs in the deck. Then I guess would need to add an Island and drop a Hallowed Fountain - to enable a pain free turn 1 Serum Visions or Aether Vial (and with 4 Flooded Strand can fetch your Fountains). Alternatively drop 1 Seachrome Coast as this deck is sort of midrange/control so the drawback could be an issue.

I like this deck idea. +1 from me. So this may be a silly question. But if you cast a morph card like Akroma, Angel of Fury as a 2/2 for its 3 colorless, then blink it, it returns as its morphed 6/6 form? If so, that seems like a great way to "cheat" bigger beat sticks onto the field. Sorry if I sound dumb but this is a mechanic I am unfamiliar with as I don't use morph much or the blink/temporary exile effect.

jdawg63000, thank you for checking out the deck :)
You are entirely correct about Akroma and other morph creatures. And Magic rules are complex. As long people don't ask me if they can pay a mana cost with Monopoly money, I'm gonna say that there are no silly questions :)

Nice, deck, are you still playing it? How's it working out?

bigpappyj, thanks for checking out the deck :)
I'm not really playing it anymore, as it's not quite as competetive as I'd like. But it's definately the most fun deck I've ever played. And blink/flicker will always have really powerful synergy with all those bonkers ETB effects in Modern. I might just pick up the deck again and see if the new cards can do it some good. You're welcome to ask if you have more specific questions about the deck :)

Thanks!

I've been eyeing a recent Abzan build that looks fun but I think it runs into speed issues at times:

To test parts of it I've built a budget minded B/W version in MTGO which is great casually, but struggles against competitive decks. This is more for me to master the stack interactions but if it could be tweaked just a bit to be awesome I wouldn't complain:

I think splashing blue makes sense, especially to get a second shit at each Momentary Blink.
