PREAMBLE

Originally intending to make a Faceless Devourer infinite ETB combo I did some research and found that white had many more options for creating these "engines". Combine this with red damage triggers and you've got yourself a mighty fine infinite combo.

FUNCTIONS

Engine Cards: Fiend Hunter , Journey to Nowhere , Leonin Relic-Warder , Lumbering Battlement , and Oblivion Ring

Using many combinations of three of these cards you can assemble an infinite enters-the-battlefield (ETB) "engine". Card #1 goes into play regularly, card #2 removes #1, and card #3 removes #2 bringing #1 back into play, removing #3 and starting an infinite series of cards leaving and entering play. For example:

1) Fiend Hunter 2) Journey to Nowhere 3) Leonin Relic-Warder

To break these infinite combos and avoid a tie Fiend Hunter and Leonin Relic-Warder have "may exile" effects which will let you stop the combo at any time, Lumbering Battlement lets you exile 0 other creatures, and in the case of a 3 Oblivion Ring loop you can target any other non-land permanent (provided there is one) to skip out of the combo.

Many of the remaining cards in the deck are aimed at harnessing these engines with ETB effects. With a creature in the loop Soul Warden will give you infinite life and Purphoros, God of the Forge or Impact Tremors will dish out infinite damage to your opponents. With an enchantment in the loop Forgeborn Oreads will also do infinite damage, burning all of your friends until they stop playing with you.

Soul Warden , Renewed Faith , and Angelsong give the deck some longevity while Nahiri, the Harbinger , Cathartic Reunion , and your cycling effects help to burn through the deck looking for combo cards.

Any suggestions for improving the speed an efficiency of this deck are greatly appreciated!

Updates Add

Thanks landofMordor for the suggestion. I dropped some combo enablers for more cycling power. In playtesting I kept getting flooded with Tremors and Soul Wardens without a combo. Threw in some Cathartic Reunions as well and a couple Forsake the Worldlys on the sideboard for good measure.
