Don't have this deck together yet, but I will soon. Thought I'd try out the new legendary ally with the awaken-on-a-stick ability.

The thought? A low-cost hasty 3/3 with the upside of also being a full spell? I'll always take that. Every sorcery is a creature. Every instant is a creature with flash. Ponder and get a 3/3? Sure. Counter a spell, bounce something, draw a few cards, then swing with a 9/9 indestructible Darksteel Citadel ? Sounds like fun.

Of course running lots of awaken cards (even Part the Waterveil because why not). Main board sweepers being Planar Outburst , of course, but also Planar Cleansing and Oblivion Stone because of the all-important phrasing "non-land permanents".

I know it needs a Crucible of Worlds to be complete but unless I trade for one, no way I'm paying for it at the current prices. Only got the Snapcaster Mage for trade, or else he wouldn't be in there, either.

Talrand, The Sky Summoner is an auto-include since he and Noyan have the same trigger and who wouldn't want a 2/2 flyer to go with those 3/3 lands? Basically a Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper deck is a Talrand, The Sky Summoner deck with better removal (because white) and the Awaken motif. Concept the same. Play instants and sorceries to build an army.

One thing to remember with this whole new awaken thing. You can stack the counters on land that's already animated. I know everyone knows that but I've seen evidence that not everyone knows that.

Also putting in Inkmoth Nexus and Blinkmoth Nexus (and soon a Celestial Colonnade and a Mutavault ) to add to the living lands theme. Plus they're just good cards and I can put counters on them even when they're dormant. Cast 3 instants and all of a sudden your Inkmoth Nexus is a one-shot kill. Not to shabby.
