I think that as a green based devotion deck, burning-tree emissary can just provided to explosive a start to not play, if you can get ahold of them. They can generate a lot of early devotion so you can ramp out your power 4&5 drops earlier and monstrous polukranos for larger. Maybe cut aspect of hydra for them as I found the creature you target just gets killed immediately

The Burning-Tree Emissary 's did not work. The fact that they produced RG meant that they could only chain together and it stalled out if I wanted to play Burning-Tree Emissary + Kalonian Hydra or Burning-Tree Emissary + Swordwise Centaur . I feel that the deck needs a 3-drop threat instead of the Aspect of Hydra s

Not sure the Arbor Colossus is needed. if you're willing to spend that kind of mana on something, why not Archetype of Endurance to slow down the effectiveness of a burn deck.

I'm not sure the Archetype is playable in any deck. An 8 cmc is ridiculous even with Nykthos. at that point I could be spending mana to monstrous and by that point a burn deck has done its damage, and it doesn't stop them from sending the Lightning strikes at me. Also, Mizzium Mortars and Anger of the Gods still hit my creatures.

i understand that but then once its monstrous, you've payed 11 mana for it and it just seems a little unreasonable to me.

Its 11 mana over two-turns for a 9/9 and destroying a flying creature or 8 mana in one turn for a 6/5 when hexproof isnt as relevant as it is early game like on a Witchstalker
