Seeing this continually irks me. Tallowisp says Enchant Creature, not Aura. If you actually take the time to look, WotC clearly states that the bestow creatures, such as those from the Theros block, are ALWAYS counted as enchantments, weather they be in the hand, on the battlefield, in the deck, exiled, or not even in the game.

Vergil_Redgrail; first of all, if you go to the gatherer page for Tallowisp, the card text has been errata'd to say " an Aura card with enchant creature". Secondly, "enchant creature" does not mean the same thing as an Enchantment Creature; Tallowisp is referring to cards like Pacifism that have the phrase "enchant creature" in the text.

Nice Deck, Lame_Duck!

I own a similar one and there is one pesky combo that I'd like to recommend: Gift of Immortality + Kami of False Hope With this you just won't get any damage anymore.

Have Fun! :)

Thanks, NuMetal.

I was actually already aware of that combo and had decided against it, but I don't remember why now and on reflection I think I do want to include it.

I like it! I have a similar deck, but it relies a little more on the spirit/arcane mechanic. It's not quite as enchantment based, but it is pretty budget. Check it out, if you'd like. The Undying Spirit of Kamigawa.

Do you really think Figure of Destiny fits uber well? It is a great one drop, but in this deck the level up ability is only good for one type of mana. It doesn't really fit the spirit fun time until it's uber level, which isn't until you have six total white mana out, which is not hugely likely (although you are running a good bit of double lands). I really love that card, I am just not sure if it quite fits the strategy of the deck.

Thanks for the feedback, wolfging.

No, its not the greatest fit, but I just don't think there's a better 1-drop card to replace it with. Early game it's a great way of getting removal cards out of the opponent's hand as they'll often rush to kill it and it's not a dead-draw in the late game. You're right that I'm unlikely to be able to get it to full power but I can reliable get it to a 4/4, which is good enough to justify its inclusion. If you have any suggestions as to what I could replace it with though, I'd like to hear it.

Eternal Dragon is almost essential in Blue White spirit deck. Why would you pass up repeatable mana ramp in blue white...in the form of a dragon?? Other than that, nice cheap deck...I've seem similiar decks. I've seen Sovereigns of Lost Alara used as well.

Check out my decks please =) I just made this account last week.

Thanks for the comment, HaxardUS.

I actually completely forgot that Eternal Dragon was a spirit. I'll give him a try.

I've considered Sovereigns, but I don't think it's well suited to my build; I just don't have a lot of beneficial auras to grab with it.

Doomed Traveler can actually be a great one drop. He just sits out there, and when he dies he becomes a 2/2 flying hexproof with the captain.

My experience has been that Doomed Traveler needs some way to sacrifice him to be sufficiently reliable.

wolfging says... #11

That could be true... I found him to be an incentive for my opponents not to attack me. He is a great chump blocker for early turn walkers, and what more do you need from a one drop? Haha. But that is a good point.

Well, what I really want from my 1-drop is for it to eat some removal so that I have a better chance of Tallowisp or Drogskol Captain sticking and that is very unlikely to happen with Doomed Traveler.

Looks like fun, have you considered Spectral Procession It can be insane value, and in this deck they would get even bigger.

Lame_Duck says... #17

I have considered Spectral Procession, but I just don't think there's room in the deck for a Spirit theme, an Aura theme and a token theme.

You certainly can say that, will6853. :)

I agree there probably isn't that much room, to have all three but you get so much out of the card I hid it hard not to play. Have you considered adding any counter spell or fog options like Faithful Squire or Callow Jushi. I just feel like you could use eithe a few more things in the lower cmc range so you have a little more to do in the early turns or ways to keep your self a live a but longer to make it where you can play more powerful things.

I love the deck. I love spirits. In a way we are all spirits. Keep on.
