Anyway.... so, Obeka, Brute Chronologist, aka Sundial of the Infinite on a stick, is great. Not only does she let you dodge questionable end-of-turn effects, but she also serves as a capable combo piece in the command zone.

Before we get into combos (and by the gods there are SO many in here...), let's address the way she actually works in this deck. And before we can do that, we have to talk about how "end of turn" effects technically function.

If you end your turn during combat to dodge a trick, or to counter a spell an opponent casts on your turn, or after evoking your mulldrifer, after drawing, and while the sac trigger is on the stack. That means at end of turn, you still have to sacrifice your tokens from Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or whomever, you lose the game from Final Fortune, you still have to discard from Ideas Unbound, etc. It can be worth it, but you need to be mindful of when you use it like that.

Instead, what you usually want to do is interact with the stack during your own end step. Each of these things creates a delayed trigger which happens during your end phase. You, as active player, get to choose the order these triggers go on the stack. You can allow some end-of-turn effects to resolve (such as having your Thassa, Deep-Dwelling trigger go through), and then leave the unpleasant ones (like "Lose the game" from Final Fortune) on the stack, and then activate Obeka, Brute Chronologist to exile the stack and end your turn all over again. Those end-of-turn triggers, having fired already, are gone, and you can continue playing.

Understanding this turns Ideas Unbound into Ancestral Recall. It turns Final Fortune, Last Chance, and Warrior's Oath into Time Walk. You get the drift.

Other generally amazing cards in this deck

Sneak Attack: all your creatures now cost R and can be cast at instant speed on your own turn (you still have to sac if you flash one in during someone else's turn)

Underworld Breach you just keep it forever lol

Dawn of the Dead lets you get a free reanimate every turn, and they die back to the graveyard. Just skip the exile EOT trigger

Psychic Vortex: CUMULATIVE UPKEEP: DRAW A CARD. HOLY S***. Just dodge the crappy EOT trigger with Obeka, Brute Chronologist

Mulldrifter + any flicker or clone effect becomes a very powerful draw engine... to go along with the other obvious draw engines like Rhystic Study, Black Market Connections, etc.

With draw engines, fast mana, and good tutors you'll hit your combo pieces pretty quickly, and with the draw, you can still hit land drops.

In the end, the win cons are:

  1. Infinite turns
  2. Infinite Pestermites
  3. Brain Freeze + Thassa's Oracle or Grapeshot

For win con 1, here's what you need:

Obeka, Brute Chronologist or Sundial of the Infinite +

Final Fortune, Last Chance, or Warrior's Oath +

Archaeomancer. Ardent Elementalist, Izzet Chronarch, Mnemonic Wall OR Shipwreck Dowser +

Deadeye Navigator, Feldon of the Third Path (if your instant/sorcery return creature is in your graveyard), Jaxis, the Troublemaker for blitz/no sac, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink, Saheeli, the Sun's Brilliance, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, Reflection of Kiki-Jiki  , Splinter Twin, Ghostly Flicker, Conjurer's Closet, Mimic Vat, Hullbreaker Horror, Displacer Kitten, etc.

Here's how it works. Cast Final Fortune. Have your Archaeomancer enter, return it to your hand. Do whatever else you want on your turn, pass to yourself.

Next turn, from hand, cast Final Fortune again. On your end-of-turn, have your Thassa, Deep-Dwelling flicker your Archaeomancer, returning Final Fortune to your hand again. Leave the delayed "Lose the game" trigger from Final Fortune on the stack, and activate Obeka, Brute Chronologist, exiling that trigger. Pass to yourself, and continue with infinite turns.

You can sub in any other instant/sorcery like, say, Cyclonic Rift for a rift every turn, indefinitely.

Magar of the Magic Strings can also get you there, you reanimate your Final Fortune as a 3/3, and swing at someone who can't block.

For win con 2, here's what you need:

Pestermite or Deceiver Exarch +

Splinter Twin or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker... Or if you can't get one of those, Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink, Saheeli, the Sun's Brilliance, Reflection of Kiki-Jiki  , or Mimic Vat + infinite mana will do the trick. You get infinite mana with Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake, or with Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring + Lotus Petal/Peregrine Drake or with Peregrine Drake + Archaeomancer + Ghostly Flicker

This gets you infinite hasty dudes who actually persist if, for some reason, you need them to via Obeka, Brute Chronologist.

For win con 3, here's what you need:

Underworld Breach + Lion's Eye Diamond + Brain Freeze

OR

Displacer Kitten + Archaeomancer + Rite of Flame + Jeska's Will

OR

Archaeomancer + Ghostly Flicker + Peregrine Drake

OR

Hullbreaker Horror + 2 free permanents

OR probably others.

Max out your storm count and then cast Brain Freeze on everyone, and then cast Thassa's Oracle to make sure you win. Or just cast Grapeshot for the direct damage.

You can also skip the storm combos and go straight for Tainted Pact and/or Demonic Consultation + Thassa's Oracle

You can easily sub out the expensive rocks and duals for cheaper options and this is a solid tier 4 deck. This deck certainly isn't tier 1 CEDH, but can certainly hang at the table, and can win turn 2-6ish.
