Bro, you need a Fight spell or two. Nothing is more Hilarious then 2+ for 1. Hilarious.

4x Twilight mire is too much, since it can't cast anything on its own. I would go to 1, and add 3x Ghost Quarter. Also, changing a treetop village or two over to Hissing Quagmire may help your fixing.

I have to disagree with all of your suggestions. 4x Twilight Mire is exactly what this deck wants.

Soon as I'm done with the Tapoedout Tournament Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is going in. I'm not a fan of Bow of Nylea, prefer Sword of Fire and Ice in that slot.

This deck seems really nice. But 4 Twilight Mire seems a little crazy, how does that work out for you?

It works out perfect. Without 4x Twilight Mire, 4x Treetop Village would be a nightmare.

I pretty much always want on in my opening hand. It lets me fetch for a basic Swamp turn 1 and have perfect mana. It also makes for casting Phyrexian Obliterator far easier to hit on time.

Yeah I can see how it works with the village, just seems like that many might be bad on the opening hand. Maybe it works though, haha.

Gotta say I absolutely love this deck! Great job.I think I'll proxi it or at least something like it out and try it at my lgs. One thing Ive been wanting to try is Setessan Tactics with Oblitorator. And what were u thinking of taking out for a kalitas? And oblitorator or 2?

Probably Bile Blight. It's the weakest link out of all the removal. Honestly though at this point I think I'll replace it with To the Slaughter instead though.

Bow of Nylea hands down wins games. its kind of retarded honestly. so much utility. i currently run 2x in the main of my obliterator rock deck - Obliterock.

love this deck though man :) great to see similar mindsets when it comes to modern hah.

also, i agree - 4x Twilight Mire is essential. i started at 2x and then ended at 4x. the mana fixing is invaluable.

Bow of Nylea also has utility in the graveyard if it gets removed, pumping goyf +2/+2.

Hey man, what's your thoughts on Batterskull in sideboard of midrange decks in the current meta? What about post eldrazi or if you're like me, no one at your LGS plays eldrazi? I think it could be useful against control, midrange, and possibly some of the slightly slower aggro lists like stompy. The effect just seems super powerful and hard to get rid of for most decks.

I like the card, just not sure I want to waste $18 if it doesn't work out. I guess the meta will eventually shift to where Bskull is good.

I've never liked Batterskull. I've only played against it though. I think it's just too mana intensive to be any good. I would pretty much prefer Wurmcoil Engine over it in any given situation.

Lmao, it is pretty expensive. I've just read that lots of players like Batterskull, never tried it myself, though.

Have recently started playing a similar list myself but am testing Thought-Knot Seer instead of Phyrexian Obliterator. I like it because it gives you a lot more hand discard but on the downside you lose some late game aggression. Also testing Matter Reshaper because like it's 3 power that draws you a card. You know how BG loves its card advantage!

How has Thought-Knot Seer done?

I like Reality Smasher myself. Haste on a body that they have to 2-for-1 is quite nice.

I would think adding the eldrazi would increase inconsistency even though they are great cards. Adding a colorless requirement essentially makes it a 3-color deck which is pretty bad for casting Obliterator.

edit - I just read in place of Obliterator.

Carry on!

Sweet deck upvoted! I have wanted to play a very similar deck for awhile now, but money being a factor has kept me mono black. You could try Smother instead of Bile Blight. The deck i was referring to is on my profile if you would like to take a look.

i am a happy weedster too! i have been dying to play obliterator and in g.b. i would rather play Hissing Quagmire over treetop, i would have a 1 of forest but that would be the only land that cannot produce black. hitting black number 4 for obliterator is a big deal. thats my 2 cents, bromigo.

Thanks for the upvote! 4x Twilight Mire makes it happen. I've tested Hissing Quagmire before and really don't like it. It's just way too slow and the body on it is pathetic.
