Maybeboard

A Selesnya Midrange deck, built with as many answers as possible. Original idea came from a friend at a local FNM shop. This version is a well rounded version of aggro with potential answers to several problems.

As for the card selections:

Odric, Lunarch Marshal is the main part of this deck. The deck is essentially built around him. Odric essentially gives everything the same effects that other cards have. So if Knight of the White Orchid is on the battlefield with Odric, anything else that is on the battlefield, including Odric, get first strike, due to Knight's Rule Text.

Sigarda, Heron's Grace is second staple mechanic. What is arguably the hardest mechanic to deal with in magic?: Hexproof. Sigarda gives you and your humans hexproof. So, Sigarda gives Odric hexproof (and flying!), and Odric gives all of your creatures hexproof (and flying!). Deal with that, opponent!

Archangel of Tithes is not only a relatively low mana cost, it adds so much pressure: both in-the-air damage, but also opponent mana pressure. Every attack and block costs one extras mana, so Archangel is a huge presence that will force them to burn cards to attack and block.

Dragonlord Dromoka is a late game finisher. As it is lifelink and flying, it synergizes well with Odric, as well as can't be countered itself. More important, it adds amazing pressure to the opponent, especially control decks, as Dragonlord prevents your opponent from casting spells during your turn.

Knight of the White Orchid is a great two drop with first strike, but also allows for land searching, if you happen to be getting mana screwed. So no mana problems.

Kytheon, Hero of Akros   is a great one drop as is, but Gideon, Battle-Forged   is great for removal potential attackers during an opponents attack phase, as well as indestructible and a free 4/4 when you need to get a little bit more damage in.

Thalia's Lieutenant is great for the Weenie part of this deck. There are 16 Humans in the deck, so dropping each one adds +1/+1: obviously adding pressure.

Always Watching adds an incredible amount of pressure and presence due to never tapping your creatures. This makes the deck very effective against aggro decks due to being able to attack AND block.

Hidden Dragonslayer synergizes well with Odric by giving everything lifelink to help with sustain. Also, his megamorph helps remove a large creature your opponent controls, helping secure board state.

Topplegeist is a great 1 drop with flying pressure, and for tapping potential blockers later in the game to secure more face slapping!

Veteran Cathar is a barely decent two drop, but his ability is the kicker, which gives him, then Odric to everyone else, double strike. This can be a devastating one-swing kill.

Lastly, the sideboard is mildly self explanatory in that each card is obviously aimed to prevent potential problems you may face from different, specific decks.

I have playtested this deck heavily, and it usually wins, even against control decks. there are enough of each creature in the deck to allow for a few counters, cuz when you finally get everything out, even if they have things on the board, your side will win with hexproof, vigilance, flying, and indestructible. If it needs to go past turn ten, it's usually only due to control decks, but again, there are plenty of answers that can bring home a win.

However, this deck will always have room to improve, so any suggestions are welcome. Please let me know how I can make this deck even better, and please give it a +1 if you like it!

Updates Add

After some play testing and such, I have decided that this deck is trying to be aggro AND midrange, which isn't particularly helpful.

So, I have taken out Nahiri's Machinations, Kytheon, and Veteran Cathar. I replaced Kytheon with Gideon, Ally of Zendikar because Gideon is just a little more effective, and the one drop Kytheon gets taken care of too easily. This also means that Gideons +1 gives him indestructible, so if Odric is out, there is my full board indestructible. Veteran Cathar was originally in for the global double strike with Odric, but for 4 mana, its not great, and double strike just ends up being a "rub-it-in" mechanic, not a game winning mechanic.

Also, I changed up the mana base, raising it from 22 to 24 by adding Evolving Wilds to help thin the deck a little.
