Catapult Master lends some excellent removal, especially if your soldiers have vigilance.

And come to think of it, Guardian of the Gateless is i nice card as well. She blocks tokens and laughs.

Catapult Master could be a welcome addition, but Guardian of the Gateless I would rather leave out as it's not another Soldier. I already have a few creatures in here not soldiers, and want to keep it themed.

Try Palace Guard , Palisade Giant , and Haazda Shield Mate . I have actually been playing around in Mono-white EDH for a while. It was my first deck, with a soldier theme as well. Now it has slowly evolved into a cleric deck but most of the non creature stuff stayed if you want to have a look. I would look at as many Mono-white EDH decks as you can to get a feel for good non-creature spells (like this one).

I have Elspeth Tirel on the Maybeboard...which is just there to show I've thought of cards but they're just out of budget atm. As it is, it kills me to spend $20 on any one card, even the Elspeth I have in the deck already :( I would like them all!!!! haha

I find Knight of Meadowgrain and Student of Warfare to be worth their weight in gold as with Honor the Pure Crovax, Ascendant Hero is the precursor to Elesh Norn

I appreciate you looking at my deck. Neither Knight of Meadowgrain nor Student of Warfare are soldiers, so cards such as Field Marshal and Door of Destinies and several others wouldn't synergize so well to buff them or help. Crovax, Ascendant Hero Does seem like a nice card, but a bit higher in CMC than I'd like. I have very few creatures above 4 CMC. The way I'm looking for Odric to work is extremely fast and aggressive. Get the creatures out quick, Utilize his ability, and just start doing damage on the field however I see fit.

So how about that Coat of Arms ?

Coat of Arms was something I considered having in a while back. Now that the deck is modified to be a bit quicker with smaller cost creatures to flood the board with, I should be looking for a spot for it again. Thank you for reminding me!

I would definitely recommend considering Hall of the Bandit Lord and Norn's Annex for this deck. Check out my EDH deck, Odric, Guide of the Misfits. I think you can take a lot from it, but good job on this. +1 from me.

Also try Benalish Commander . He is very good because you can either wait until you have enough soldiers to direct-cast him, or you can Suspend for a few turns and pump out tokens so he'll be strong when he does come out.

Thank you! I'll definitely take a look at your deck. I will probably be replacing a few cards in here like Sol Ring , Serra Ascendant , and Strip Mine as they are illegal in 1v1 French and that's more or less what this deck is for. Norn's Annex I'm not too worried about as I'm being as offensive and quick as possible, and don't want to waste cards on defense. I can make them block and die if something is too threatening for the most part.

Angelic Skirmisher is a great swarm card that allows you to combat trick your way through every fight. Fiend Hunter pulls hate keeping them off actual targets like odric himself.

land looks a bit light- i would look at wrath protection as well.

Knight of the White Orchid , Land Tax and Weathered Wayfarer are all great in mono-white!

I realize she isnt a Soldier, but Stoneforge Mystic has the potential for epicness here, ditto Restoration Angel . I would also recomend adding Batterskull and Umezawa's Jitte . +1 Upvote
