@FAMOUSWATERMELON that's what happens when you want to be hyper competitive in modern.

And when your a collector.

Sadly, this isn't even an expensive deck in terms of price.

Go peek epochs EDH deck. Then you'll know.

February 11, 2015 10:53 a.m.

Very true. That said, EDH decks do have more cards, so naturally, the price would be higher.

Yeah but when your forking over 500-900 dollars a card to be competitive in EDH it makes modern decks laughable.

Once I bought 4x Liliana of the Veil it was the point I had accepted that I'm going to waste a lot of money on cardboard so might as well enjoy it.

That being said, the only person in real life whose opinion matters encourages the hobby. I have a game plan of selling the excess when I get married to pay for the wedding and the last reason that makes coughing up cash easy.... It's actually cheaper then any of my other hobbies. I've spent 2000 over 2 years. I've spent that in a lot less time on other hobbies. (Strippers, weed, guns... lol even on video games.) I've definitely got more use out of this deck then most of those things too... :)

& thanks for the compliment 8vomit

Why the hell would you use snow-covered lands? I have never really understood why you use them...?

Because of the 1 in 1000 chance u go against a deck running Imprint & but mostly because I like the artwork. Ideally u could set things up for Scrying Sheets but this deck isn't the right place for it.

Are there only two Tarmogoyfs here because you don't have two more? You could definitely cut a Maelstrom Pulse and move Thrun, the Last Troll to the SB in place of one Fulminator Mage to make room for them.

Spellskite is great but it is better as a sidebourd card i would consider switching it with Sword of Light and Shadow

I have been playing Percy in Modern in a BW midrange build and love him. I have Lili, Path, and black kill spells of course, but I also run Grafted Wargear and a one-of Miren, the Moaning Well.

Check it out: Dead Guy Ale v. 2.1

Wow, very nice deck! I'm actually not a fan of Smallpox, but this deck makes great use of it.

Have you thought about running Bloodghast? A recursive, aggressive creature could serve you well in here.

I ran Bloodghast in this deck for a while but it never did what I wanted it to do. Good card but this isn't the best she'll for it.

I enjoy watching the progress on this deck. I mainly play Legacy, but if I ever transitioned to Modern this would be one of the decks I would consider- MBC with a green splash.

Where are those two Goyfs that I see a huge picture of? Are they necessary? Is Thrun hard to cast with GG in the cost? Does MD Spellskite primarily save your Obliterator? Would it be better as another body instead? Or is Spellskite some sort of anti-twin-tech that I don't know about?

This deck had 4x Tarmogoyf at one point but I reverted it back to its pregoyf form. It doesn't need them but they're nice. The Spellskite was added last minute one day before FNM as a meta call and it really paid off. It offers quite a bit of utility and prevention. Infect can't go off, Twin can't go off. The random rogue deck running Harness by Force or Threads of Disloyalty doesn't get its free game 1 win.

Thrun, the Last Troll has never been a problem to cast. (Save complete mana screw) 25 lands is pretty ample for overcoming the Smallpox setback. Honestly I feel that Treetop Village has closed more games than Phyrexian Obliterator

What about Eldrazi? W the filterlands and Miren, you can splash the likes of Reality Smasher

February 14, 2016 6:18 p.m.

Okay, there's probably a great reason why you're running Abyssal Persecutor and I'm missing it, but I'm gonna ask anyways, why exactly are you running it?? I'm a little confused...
